Baby C Has 7 Small Meals A Day

Baby C has a pretty small tummy, just like Sherilyn jie jie, unlike Alycia jie jie’s tummy which can be pretty elastic, thus she has always been rather chubby. Baby has to eat many small meals a day, instead of 3 square meals. She has 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 1 mid-afternoon snack, 1 pre-dinner snack, 1 dinner and a supper consisting of 2 ounces of Pediasure. She takes between 5-10 ounces of Pediasure a day and about 5-6 fixes of mommy’s milkie.

This is Baby’s first breakfast at 8:30am :

4 ounces of Vanilla Pediasure (spoon-fed), biscuits and her Maltofer syrup (iron supplement to counter her low Haemoglobin after the 2 surgeries).  Baby gets bored easily with her biscuits so I have a stash of like 5 types of biscuits for her, mostly baby biscuits.  This packet of PepperidgeFarm cheddar cheese Goldfish biscuits belongs to her 2 jie jies but she got fed-up with her baby biscuits… so I gave her some of the Goldfish and she walloped half a bowl.  The other half, mummy polished off!

  1. wow…so many meals a day. you must be spending a lot of time feeding her. btw…just want to tell you that your blog takes a long time to load this week. blogspot is ok 🙂

  2. Yes, Alycia is the most chubby one. Her whole body is fleshy and meaty. Alycia is very pretty and sweet.
I find her look alike you the most.

  3. Barb… yup, I spend most of my time feeding Baby. Maybe you can try to go to Mozilla Firefox when you access this blog? I find that MF loads websites faster.

Sheoh Yan… have you seen my face? I hv never put my face in my blogs hehe.

  4. hey, my gal is in love with that fishy biscuit too! and am having the same hard time feeding her 4oz of Pediasure now…not using spoon, but on straw. we have to hold the bottle and chase after her each time. spoon feeding was during her 4-6mth old age..that make us sweat a lot!

  5. Feeding does take a lot of time especially to slow eater & picky kids. Glad that Baby C eats well and hope that she will pick up on her weight soon!

  6. Barb… that’s strange. Anyway, I hv probs getting to certain sites too lately, it would take a very long time to load the pages. Maybe the internet connection is not stable?

  7. I love the little fishies too but be very cautious of the high salt content and u do know kidneys get to process the salt. Just wondering that since C is not keen on formula, maybe try and start her on reg. fresh milk. Btw, have you ever tasted baby formula??

  8. Chris… Baby is lactose intolerance, so she will hv loose bowel after drinking cow’s milk. Moreover, cow’s milk makes the kidneys work harder. I’m comfortable with Pediasure and it tastes good too!

Michelle… oh yes she loves bread and buns and I give them to her a few times in a week. Sometimes I cut the bread into fingers and toast the bread fingers.

  9. OOPS!! Didn’t realize C was lactose-intolerant. A lot of Asians are and I have become somewhat intolerant as I age, though can still enjoy ice-cream! Almost all babies here are weaned to reg. milk after age 1, but always breast milk before then. If C enjoys Pediasure, good for her! I suppose soy milk is another option, although I know of a couple of Asian babies who are allergic to soy. How strange!
