A Day Out At Bangsar Village

After lunch at Banquet Restaurant, Bangsar Village on Sunday, daddy brought the gals window shopping. He wanted to buy the gals toys again and as usual, I stopped him. Most of the toys that he had recently bought the gals are now sitting in our storeroom and if he continues to buy more toys, we will soon run out of space to store the toys.  When he dragged the gals into Toys R Us, I dragged them out within 5 minutes. If we continue to stay longer in there, I bet the gals will surely get what they want from daddy.

Before we left, we did some grocery shopping at Village Grocer and Alycia who has been pestering daddy to buy her the Ritz bitz mini cheese sandwiches finally got her wish – daddy bought her 3 packs! On our way home, the gals dozed off in the car and once we reached home, the gals woke up and didn’t want to get back to sleep. I didn’t manage to do much blogging on Sunday as we were out almost the whole day and when the gals don’t want to sleep, I won’t have much time to spend sitting in front of the computer.

See the 2 mini scooters Alycia and Sherilyn were sitting on here? Daddy wanted to buy the gals one of these battery operated scooters from this kids’ boutique named Kids Junk something and again, I managed to stop him. It ain’t cheap and costs a few hundred Ringgit. If he bought the scooter, I bet the scooter will turn into junk in no time, knowing very well my 2 gals.

How We Spent Our Sunday

After church today, we went to Bangsar Village. We had gone there on Friday to have lunch at Delicious (one of our favorite restaurants) and just when we were about to leave, we passed by a newly opened Italian restaurant called Marco’s Pizza (can’t remember the exact name), located opposite Grocers Village. Hubby browsed their menu and the food looked good, so he promised to bring us here on Sunday (today). Well, the food is good. I love the pasta, especially the Pesto pasta and the pasta with pine nuts, avocado and prawns cooked in tomato paste. The cod fish pasta was also good. Their pizzas are all baked in wood stove fire. This is what we had for lunch today :

The wood stove to bake pizzas.

The restaurant is very spacious (with split level), very clean and there is also a kids’ play area. It is a very kids’ friendly restaurant and suitable for gatherings (we can hold a bloggers’ gathering there too!). Will definitely dine in this restaurant again.

The kids’ play area – very clean.

Sunday

Today has been a quiet Sunday for the gals and I. We didn’t go to church today as hubby had to be at a client’s function and we are only relying on one car. I had wanted to bring them to the park to watch dogs in training in the morning but when we wanted to leave the house, the big bright sun decided to appear from behind the clouds, so we didn’t make it. Every Sunday dog owners would bring their dogs to the park for them to be trained by professional dog handlers. My gals and I love watching the cute dogs in action. So I just vegetated at home, read to the gals and of course finished off some of my outstanding assignments. My maid cooked fried rice for lunch and later, I’m going to teach her to deep fry some chicken wings and chicken drumsticks. I’ve already marinated the chicken with some Lea & Perrin sauce, salt, pepper and a dash of 5-spice powder. This is going to be our first time trying out this recipe that I’ve whipped up myself. Not sure if the chicken will taste good or not. If they taste good, I shall snap some pix of it and write a post on it. Later if the weather permits, I shall bring the gals out to the park.
