Happy Sunday – 28 August 2016

We left the house early on our Sunday morning yesterday as I had a training session to attend at the NP office. We were caught in a bad traffic jam as many roads were closed in the heart of KL for the Merdeka Day celebration rehearsal and to make the traffic even worse, there was also a Marathon event around the area. Good thing was the girls got to see how a Merdeka Day rehearsal was.

I was about 20 minutes late for the training session. Thankfully nothing much was missed.

The slide below shows my team members posing with a 4th stage colon cancer survivor. This Japanese man was told by his doctor that he only had a few months to live. But after consuming Iz**** and Super L*****, he survived… until today! Amazing!

Cass tagged along with me to the training session while the two older girls followed their dad to Low Yat Plaza to get some accessories for our laptop and phone.

After the training session, I had a quick bite at Secret Recipe with Cass while waiting for the hubs to fetch us.

In the car, Alycia asked me a peculiar question…

Alycia – mummy, if your hand phone was spoilt, would you ask daddy to buy you a new one?

I instantly smelled something fishy coz Alycia my introvert daughter hardly asks me such questions!!

Me – I’ll get him to buy me a new phone then coz I deserve it big time!!! Bring it on!!

And then Alycia and Drama Queen fished out my new Huawei mobile phone from a bag and passed it to me!

Me to hubs – whatttt? Why did you buy me a new phone? My Samsung phone is still OK what!

I was told that there was an on-going promotion for Huawei mobile phones and hubs told me that the deal was a bang for his buck. So…

And then I heard the 2 big girls behind me chortling away and showing me another new Huawei mobile phone!

Drama Queen – See mummy, I won a new Huawei phone! After daddy bought your phone, we were given a chance to spin and win a prize and I won a phone!!

WOW, really?! I could not imagine our luck!

The spin needle was just half or maybe a quarter centimeter away from touching the picture of an umbrella next to the phone picture but luck was with Drama Queen, the spin needle stopped short at the picture of the phone as if an invisible hand stopped the needle!!

The MC of the event congratulated Drama Queen and photos were taken. The event organizers were dancing and singing and her wind fall was celebrated with grand fanfare. It was like a dream come true for Drama Queen as she had been bugging me to buy her a new mobile phone. She won a Huawei Mate 8 phone retailed at over RM2k.

The previous shoppers who tried their hands on the spin wheel were green with envy. Too bad I wasn’t there to share her joy.

Next we went to the Gardens Mall to have lunch at Alexis. For the first time, we were all not eager to order our food. We were all too preoccupied with our new mobile phones.

My new Huawei is a P9 with evolutionary dual camera lens technology and Leica lens. This enables my phone to capture pix like a DSLR camera, wooohoo! I am so happy!

Our Saturday – 30 July 2016

Today is the day that both Cass and Drama Queen have been waiting for. They have spent many days practising for their sports day.

We reached school at 7am. After roll-calling, we had a quick bite at the canteen before rushing off to the running track.

One of the boys in her team made a boo boo and the entire relay event was disqualified. They did a rerun. Her team did not win and Cass was really, really disappointed.

Drama Queen had to give up running in 3 events today as she is still nursing a sprained foot. Nonetheless, she still participated in marching and dancing.

As expected, yours truly the Puteri Lilin had a throbbing head after being grilled by the sun for 4 hours. The morning sun today was ferocious and torched us mercilessly. But after downing a packet of Izumio, I was all perked up and the headache gradually subsided. Izumio rocks!!

Tomorrow my day will start early again. I will have to tumble out of bed by 7am to get some chores done before attending a training session by Naturally Plus at their office. This week has been a hectic and tiring one for me, with no chance to sleep in on any day. Hopefully I’ll get to catch up on my beauty sleep next weekend. I miss moseying around the house on weekends with absolute nothing to rush into and no where to sprint to by a certain time.

Earning Passive Income From Home

In case you do not already know, besides blogging, managing an online store that sells kids and ladies apparels, managing my 3 demanding girls, cooking whenever the MIL is not around and managing the household, I am also sharing to the world about two wonderful health products that are life-saving.

New Izumio And Super Lutien Stock Arrived!

My new stock of Izumio and Super Lutein arrived today – for my customer and myself. I am so glad that this time, I don’t have to lug the stock back from the office. Each box weighs 7.5kg and I normally have over 10 boxes collected. It does not help that we live in a condo. Our trolley can only fit in 6 boxes at one go and I normally have to make two trips from the basement up to the 5th floor.

I paid Bemalas courier service to do it for me this time and receiving the stock has been a breeze! Treating UTI Naturally With Hydrogen Water

I got a scare of my life on Tuesday morning (yesterday). It was around 1-ish a.m. and I heard a knock on my room door. I stumbled out of bed groggily with my heart thumping. The mil was standing outside and she told me that Cass had woken up on her own to pee. This has never happened before. My alarm clock rings at 2:30 a.m. everyday for me to bring Cass to pee. Something is not right.

I went to the bathroom and saw Cass on the toilet seat. I asked her whether she was OK and she told me that her bladder region felt uncomfortable. Her urethra hurt a little too. She sat at the throne for a good 20 minutes as she kept having the urge to pee. Dang it, classic symptoms of a UTI! I quickly gave her a packet of Izumio hydrogen water.

I was supposed to feed Cass with Waterfall D-Mannose to zap away the bacteria but I had finished my existing stock. My new stock was still stuck in the UK. The seller (Sweet Cures, UK) had missed out shipping my order but bless her ever kind heart, she gave me 2 extra tubs to compensate for their oversight.

I was insanely worried that Cass has another UTI attack. She had been showing some very initial symptoms of a UTI for the past 2-3 weeks but I now know how to spot those initial symptoms and nip them at the bud before the bacteria starts ‘partying’ and multiplying.

There is current research available that proves that bacteria can colonise layers of the bladder epithelium and bury themselves deep within the bladder wall, especially after an antibiotic attack, waiting to reappear when conditions are favourable. I am pretty certain that Cass’ recurrent UTI attacks lately are caused by the same colony of bacteria from the first attack in November last year, that were not successfully wiped out by antibiotics. They were snugly hiding deep inside her bladder walls, waiting to reappear and multiply when the conditions are right. Acidic urine creates perfect conditions that encourage this detachment and regrowth.

My diet for Cass now involves an alkaline one, i.e with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, barley water, coconut water and hydrogen water. Sometimes this is hard, especially when we eat out. Almost every darn thing that we eat is acidic, from meat to eggs, milk, bread, nuts and our daily staple. Even cooked white rice is slightly acidic. So when she’s had a very acidic meal, I will ensure that she downs lots of alkaline fluids.

The next day, Cass skipped school. After downing 2 packets of Izumio hydrogen water (at 1:30am and 6am), Cass told me that she no longer felt pain in her bladder region and urethra. I was SO happy but didn’t let my guard down yet. I gave her a total of 5 packets of Izumio yesterday. Cass is back at school today.

Since I have run out of Waterfall D-Mannose, Cass is drinking an additional of 3 packets of Izumio a day now, making it a total of 5 packets a day.

Attacked But I Am Winning!

Ok, it’s my turn now 🙁

Shucks, I have a bad throat and some of the symptoms that Cass had when she was down with Influenza A last week! The hubs too has just recovered from inflammation of his tonsils. He was down and out for almost 2 weeks! And I have been sharing a room with these 2 sick fellas for the past 1.5 weeks. It all started about 3 days ago when I felt nagging discomfort in my throat and a slight runny nose. Those pesky virus sure are virulent. But I am winning them in the battle! 😉

Yesterday I felt as if there was a raging fire inside my throat and body. It did not help that the weather has been really hot with temperature of 38-39 degrees C. I gulped down cups after cups of water, like a camel… icy cold water that is. I couldn’t take the heat, especially after going out and exposed to the sun. The sides of my head had short spurts of painful attacks. My body felt a tad achy. I felt as if I was walking on air. In the late afternoon, I felt slightly cold, inspite of the burning sun outside. Great! I told Cass that her Influenza A virus has spread to me. She kept urging me to take a nap and told me that she could take care of herself. The hubs said I needed antibiotics, just like him. But NO. I ain’t going to succumb to antibiotics. I know my body too well. Next to come would be vaginal yeast infection if I took oral antibiotics.

My home remedy to treat myself:
1. Drink hydrogen infused water. I drank 3 packets yesterday.
2. Pop carotenoids supplements. I popped 3 capsules yesterday.
3. Drink Manuka honey UFM 10+ with concentrated bee propolis – twice a day.
4. Drink coconut water and barley water.

6. Get lots of sleep. After giving Cass a massage and putting her to sleep, I shut my room door and didn’t want to see / know what’s going on outside my bedroom. The 2 older girls should know what to do. I went to bed at 9:30pm… for the first time in years!

This morning, I was feeling a tad better. I could still do a 40-minute brisk walk. I had skipped swimming for 3 days coz it’s really uncomfortable to swim/breathe when you have phlegm.

Working From Home And Nursing My Sick Baby Back To Good Health

On days when I feel like I a minnow at home caring for 3 kids who are unappreciative and disobedient, I could feel myself corroding with regret – for quitting the job that I loved 10 years ago. The job paid me very well, complete with enviable perks and status.

It was only when Cass fell sick last Monday that I realized how lucky I am that I could be with her 24 hours a day, caring for her and nursing her back to the pink of health. For mothers who hold a full-time job, they will need to apply for emergency leave. If their application for leave gets rejected, they will have no choice but to take no-pay-leave to tend to their kids. I had gone through all these when I was working full-time. As I have the advantage to stay home to monitor Cass’ fever and to self-treat her last week, I have saved a lot of money from expensive pediatrician fees and medication.

When Cass’ temperature hovered above 40 degrees Celsius for 2 days early last week, I told the hubby that if the fever did not subside, he had to be prepared to fork out another RM200-RM300 to our pediatrician at Pantai Medical Center. This hospital is well-known for exorbitant charges (thus it’s called ‘tai park sar‘ in Cantonese. Or big shark – translated into English. A shark eats you up and having to pay exorbitant bills is akin to being eaten up by a shark!) but we have no choice. My most trusted pediatrician whom Cass has been seeing since she was an infant is now attached to this hospital.

Thank God I managed to self-treat Cass with hydrogen water and some home remedies and her high fever was brought down on the 3rd day. Thanks to Izumio, it has not failed me again!

It Was Influenza!

When Cass was burning with fever last week, I was worried sick and wondered what was wrong with her as she had NO symptoms of cough, flu, sore throat or UTI pain. What worried me the most was that she was listless, slept all day and had zilch appetite. Many things crossed my mind, including dengue and cancer. It was only later, after receiving Whatsapp messages from Cass’ classmates’ mothers and checking with Google that I realized that Cass had Influenza. I am still not sure if she had Influenza A or B as both the ailments have similar symptoms.

On another note, there have been Whatsapp messages circulating that a few schools in the Klang Valley have outbreaks of Influenza A and Influenza B. The affected students have been quarantined.

These are the symptoms that Cass displayed when she had high fever last week:

High fever hovering at 40.3 degrees Celsius for the first 2 days.
On the 3rd day, fever was hovering between 39 – 40 degrees Celsius
Pain on head, chest, eye balls and body on first two days.

When the fever subsided completely, the flu came! She had runny nose with thick goo, dry throat and mucous for 3 days.

I am so glad that Alycia and Sherilyn did not succumb to the virulent bugs responsible for Cass and the hubby’s ailments. It must be the carotenoids supplement that they are popping (and occasional Izumio) that’s guarding their body. Sherilyn and Alycia who both have history of never ending throat problems with phlegm have not had any bad breakouts of throat infection and flu ever since they started consuming Super Lutein.

Both Cass and hubby fell sick at the same time. And they swapped sleeping places at night. Poor hubby had to sleep on a mattress in the living room and Cass slept next to me so that I could sponge her throughout the night.

Today is exactly a week since the high fever and Cass is 100% healed. Even the thick mucous /phlegm that came along with the post-fever flu is gone! Thank God!!

No More Fever, YAY!!

Cass’ high fever has finally subsided today, Praise The Lord! 🙂

Just now…

Cass – mummy, I am going to be so left behind in class.

Me – it’s ok. I can revise with you at home.

And so here she is, sipping Izumio while doing some test papers that I printed for her.

Just last night, I was contemplating if I should give her just one last suppository so that we could both have a restful night. My sleep has been interrupted every night and I feel terribly frazzled. Last night, Cass still had a fever of 38.5 – 39 degrees Celsius. Thankfully I trusted my motherly instinct. And my confidence and trust that the hydrogen infused water would help to bring the fever down. Again, it has not failed me.

Yesterday Cass downed 5 packets of Izumio. She had very little appetite and didn’t eat much. This morning, Cass had an explosive poo poo (watery) and thereafter, her temperature slowly glided down from 38+C and now it’s a good reading at 37C. Her body does not feel like burning coal anymore. It was as though the explosive poo poo was some kind of major detoxing of all the nasties from her body. Just 2 days ago, it was hovering at 40+C which distressed me more than her.

Cass’ appetite is still lame today. That’s uncharacteristic of her. She always has a ravenous appetite and eats more than all of us. But after 2 days of being ‘burnt’, her innards need time to heal and spring back into action. I asked Cass what she felt like eating today and guess what her request was? Bitter gourd pork noodles from our favorite stall! Of all things, she requested for something bitter! She enjoyed her bowl of bitter gourd vermicelli thoroughly, which she split into two servings with a rest in between the 2 meals. Ironically, the only food that I could stomach when I was pregnant with Alycia (with really awful all-day sickness) was bitter gourd soup! Talk about freaky taste buds!

Earning Passive Income

This morning I saw another surprise in my bank account. An amount of RM455 has been banked into my accounts. I am chuffed! 🙂 🙂 This is my weekly ‘income’. On some weeks I get more, sometimes a little less. But I am already very thankful for this passive income, given that I have put in very little effort. I am in nature pretty laid back. I prefer to do less stressful things but truth is, I do not put pressure on myself to excel in this business. I am working at my own pace, which compared to my other team members, is considered at snail’s pace.

After consuming the products consisting of hydrogenated water and carotenoids for 11 months with no intention to delve in the business initially, I am glad to say that I am now consuming the products for free!

I am now earning a monthly minimum of RM2,000 on average, which is sufficient to cover the monthly cost of my consumption of the products for our 3 girls and myself. My goal is to reach Excellence status, which would guarantee me an income of RM10,000 a month but to reach this status, I will have to fire on all cylinders. To be honest, I am not confident if I can reach that far by this year. It’s A-OK if I don’t. I will take my own time and will not put too much pressure on myself. My upline’s motto is RSS – Rest, Sit Back and Smile and that’s what I am doing now 🙂 I am confident that I will soon reach this status, maybe by mid or end of next year or perhaps in 2 years. That’s fine by me.

My immediate goal is to see continued healing in Cass’ incontinence issues and my own health issues. I am already very thankful that the products are bringing Cass on her road to recovery. It may take longer for her to be 100% healed as she has an abnormal urinary tract but with continued consumption of the products and lots of prayers, nothing is impossible. I am confident of that.

For myself, the fact that my cholesterol reading has gone down from 6.4 (reading in June 2015) to 5.8 (reading in February 2016) despite having genetic high cholesterol and without taking medications is already a proof that the products are working. Do note that I have all the while been taking only a maintenance dosage as I could not afford high dosage. Now that I am already consuming for free, I have started to increase my dosage. I can’t wait to do my next cholesterol blood test to see if the reading has gone down further 🙂

Genetic High Cholesterol

Ok, I have genetic high cholesterol 🙁

My doctors told me that it would be really, really difficult to bring down the cholesterol reading however hard I alter my diet and exercise. I could be stick thin and eat nothing but green veggies and exercise 2 hours a day, but my cholesterol reading would still be slightly high. My younger brother who is a fitness buff with 6 packs also has high cholesterol, all in the name of genetic 🙁

How unfair can life be!

Oh well. Nothing is fair in life. Like, why do some people who lead a healthy lifestyle still get cancer?

For all the hard work I put into my diet and exercise regimen for the past 8 months, my cholesterol reading has gone done a wee bit. And that’s without medication. Only with supplements like fish oil, hydrogen water and carotenoids. That’s why I am pushing myself to swim 24-26 laps on top of brisk walking for 15 minutes, 5 mornings in a week. Exercise is important to bring down cholesterol. And I am about 80% vegan now. I can’t give up on meat totally now as I am slightly anemic. I have a fibroid in my uterus that causes heavy menstruation each month. I need meat to supply me with the iron. No doubt I can ditch the meat and eat red beans, spinach and other iron-rich veggies but it is hard when I have carnivorous kids. I am still training them to go easy on meat and they are aware that too much meat is too taxing on their innards, besides all the growth hormones and antibiotics that go into the animal feed, which eventually end up inside our bodies.

These days, my meals compose of mainly greens, whole grains, nuts, seeds and fiber.

A packet of hydrogen water, high fiber cereal with added organic oats, organic chia seeds, roasted pumpkin seeds, raw walnuts and skim milk drizzled with extra virgin coconut oil and a squirt of palm sugar syrup to give me the oomph.

Lunch was half a punnet of organic raw alfalfa and broccoli sprouts with apple cider vinegar and roasted sesame dressing and a quarter bowl of Ipoh ‘kai see hor fun’ (shredded chicken flat noodles), which I shared with Cass.

Thankfully I love this kind of meal. And hardly do I crave for nasi lemak, ‘char koay teow’ or other oily fried foods. Heck, I don’t even miss my most favorite food in the world – durian! From queen of musang king, I am surprised that I can even go cold turkey on durians. Yes, I can’t believe that during the last durian season, I wasn’t even craving for it. See how powerful our mind is?! I believe that we can condition our mind and taste bud to eat healthily. If I can do it, so can you 😉

Earning Passive Income From Home

Last month (December 2015), I received 2 Whatsapp messages that made me reel. One was from the girls’ private Mandarin tutor. The other was from Sherilyn’s Saturday class tuition center. Both the messages were on fees increase. The former stated a fee increase of over 30% and the latter – a 100% fee increase!!!!! I felt giddy just having to recalculate how much extra we have to pay each month. With Alycia now in a private Chinese school, we are already paying an additional RM400 per month. This is NOT inclusive of her tuition fees yet. And her books, which are mostly imported are frigging expensive!! I want to bawl 🙁 🙁

I want to have more moolah. But I can’t go back to the workforce and work full-time. The girls need me at home. Shallow as I may sound, I actually prayed to God to help me to get rich. HAHA! But I can’t be rich if I don’t do extra in addition to what I am currently doing now. RIGHT?

A few days ago, I logged in to my NP account and what do I know? I got a big surprise! I saw that I have earned over RM3,000 in only 2 months, from October through December 2015. Treating Sore Throat, Cough And Phlegm Naturally

When we were in Hong Kong, we had really rich and ‘heaty’ food almost daily. On the second night in Hong Kong, the adults went for a snake meal, where almost every dish that was served had snake meat or other exotic meat in it. Many people flock to eat snake meat during winter in Hong Kong. The kids had pizza at Pizza Express.

I, for once indulged in roasted and deep fried food coz heck, I am on a holiday! I was able to relax, enjoy and indulge coz I knew I had my hydrogen water and carotenoids supplement as my ‘defense’ against sore throat. I have an ultra sensitive throat and ‘heaty’ body, for those of you who know me will know.
