Goong Goong’s Birthday Celebration

We celebrated goong goong’s (my dad) 64th birthday at a Chinese Restaurant last Saturday. We had a real sumptuous dinner and these are some of the dishes we had :

Stewed lamb with radish.

Crispy dried pan-fried prawns with superior sauce.

Steamed fish.

Double-boiled free-range chicken soup with ginseng, flower mushrooms, bamboo fungus, wolfberries and red dates.

Crispy roasted chicken with prawn crackers.

Alycia and Sherilyn enjoying their meals.
Sherilyn giving the thumbs-up to the fried longevity noodles.

There was also a huge delicious chocolate fudge cake and the gals had such a good time gorging on the cake laced with chocolate and sandwiched with rich creamy toffee in the middle. Since it was a holiday, I allowed them to indulge in some sinful food. I too indulged in some sinful food and even skipped my daily morning exercise regime for 2 days.

A Day Out At One Utama

On Sunday, daddy brought us to One Utama. We had brunch at Paddington House of Pancakes. Alycia and Sherilyn enjoyed the savoury and sweet pancakes very much. We also enjoyed the beautiful view from the glass window facing the indoor park. After brunch, we went to buy Sherilyn a pair of white color shoes from Tree House Kids’ Shoes, MPH to buy some story books, a karaoke nursery rhymes VCD and a 48-piece jigsaw puzzle. We also went to Safe n Sound and daddy bought another Safety 1st bed-railing and a magnetic Thomas and Friends jigsaw puzzle. I’ll tell you why he bought another bed-railing. Later, we went to Toys City and mummy bought an expensive Combi bib. Before we left, we had Japanese food at this new restaurant called Shogun something, located next to Good Evening Thai Restaurant.

The savoury pancake with egg, sausage, baked tomato and Romania lettuce.

Coin-sized pancakes topped with grounded peanuts, white chocolate flakes, fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce, chocolate sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.

The girls at a gift shop. Sherilyn was crazy over the 3D sphere ball and the rubber yoyo but mummy said “NO, cannot buy coz you have too many toys at home”.

If we’re at 1U, daddy will surely not miss out bringing his 2 angels for the animal train ride and animal motorized rides.

A Beautiful Sunday With A Pleasant Surprise

Today, we had buffet lunch at Lemon Garden Coffee House, Shangri-La Hotel. Guess who I chanced upon there? I was seated at the table at the coffee house terrace when I saw a cute little girl walking in. I thought she looked very familiar. I then turned around and saw this little girl’s elder sister. They’re Erica and Ellisa, the 2 lovely angels from Scribbles For My Angels. I then waited for E&E’s mummy to walk in before I said hi to her. What a small world this is.

Alycia holding a cray-fish.

Sherilyn ate nothing but bread sticks from the wide spread of delicious buffet food.

And health freak mommy wasn’t that health conscious today. I gorged on the sinfully mouth-watering desserts and my favourite was the passion fruit, banana yoghurt and strawberry ice-cream with lots of chopped peanuts, kidney beans and white chocolate from the white chocolate fountain.

Whilst Alycia has outgrown her fear of clowns, Sherilyn still has phobia of them and she was clinging on tightly to me for dear life like a koala bear as her body was trembling with fear.

I had wanted to snap a pic of both Erica and Ellisa with Alycia and Sherilyn but Ellisa was asleep and Erica shied away from the camera.
When we were at the colored sand arts and crafts corner outside the coffee house, I saw Erica there and took a picture of her with Alycia and Sherilyn. The girl in pink long sleeved blouse with long flowing hair is Erica

Wedding March

Today, we attended Alycia and Sherilyn’s sunday school teachers’ wedding. We had to arrive at the church by 10am and I was so worried we would be late again as the gals are not used to sleeping early and waking up early. I woke up at 6am, did some work on the computer, went for my jog and woke the gals up at 7:30am. We had to rush breakfast off, skipped the gals’ bath and quickly dress them up. Luckily, we managed to arrive at the church at 10am on the dot. Alycia who is usually not comfortable in crowds and with strangers, refused to partake in the wedding march whilst Miss Social Butterfly Sherilyn had a ball and was the centre of attraction with her antics. She even joined all the older kids in a choir singing “Jesus Loves Me This I Know” on stage and didn’t display any stage fright.

Despite much coaxing, Alycia refused to partake in the wedding march and kept tucking away from the kids. She just held on tightly to my hands and refused to let go of them.

When the wedding ceremony was over, Daddy brought us to Purple Cane Tea House for a lunch of authentic chinese dishes with tea leaves cooked in almost all their dishes.

Fun At Westin Hotel

These pictures were taken at the Westin Hotel today where we had buffet lunch.

That’s me with Alycia and Sherilyn at the dessert counter. Alycia’s eyes were fixated at the pralines and when I was busy carrying Sherilyn, she managed to stealthily popped a few into her mouth without me noticing. Daddy saw but kept quiet but told me later when we were at the car. Great…. when she complains of sore throat later, you go kau tim her.

Ooohh…. look at the mouth-watering tempting strawberries on the cheesecake.

Alycia and Sherilyn went crazy over the bread sticks and that was the only food apart from her good ol’ cereal that Sherilyn ate though there was so much delicious food on the buffet counter.

Yuuuuuuummmmm….. sennnnnnng……Alycia and Sherilyn love to toast with daddy.

Sherilyn was very tired but very happy that alas, she got her flower shaped balloon from Mr Clown.

On our way home.

We Love Sundays

We spent our Sunday lepaking at PJ Hilton again yesterday. In case some of you are wondering why my DH always brings us to hotels for buffet meals, well that’s because he has already pre-paid for them. He has paid RM400+ on membership fee (for each hotel) at the Hilton Hotel, Shangri-La Hotel and Sheraton group of hotels. That’s more than RM1,200+ for a 1-year subscription to 3 groups of hotels. So when the two of us dine at these hotels, we get 50% off the total bill. If there are more than 2 diners, we enjoy a 30% discount on the total bill (F&B only). On top of that, for each hotel, we are entitled to 2 nights free hotel stay. Last year, we stayed at the Hilton Sentral Hotel together with my parents and my brothers/SIL where we celebrated my mum’s 60th birthday there. Later, we stayed at the Westin Hotel (member of the Hilton Group) during X’mas. This year, we have yet to utilize the free hotel stays. Gotta start planning now for a short holiday. I love!

These pix were taken yesterday at PJ Hilton.
