Protecting My Computer

I have been wasting a lot of precious time for the past 3 days on my computer. First, internet connection has been pretty unstable and slow. This could be due to the recent earth quake in Indonesia. A call to my internet provider 2 days ago and today revealed that my internet connection was ‘hang’ at the internet provider’s side. Second, my computer has been attacked by some malicious viruses. My Internet Explorer is also acting very strangely. I have also been unable to access certain websites and blogs and once I’m connected to these sites, my computer would crash.

I think it’s high time I invest a little money on a reliable anti-virus software to protect my computer from further damage. These days, many online stores offer online discount coupons and discount offers on anti-virus software packages. I should check out these online stores and get my computer an anti-virus software before a major disaster happens. That’s the last thing I ever want to happen on my computer.

Streamyx Sucks

Internet connetion has been very unstable for the past 2 days.  A few bloggers and I were unable to get into the sites of 3P, Blogitive and PU2B for 2 days.  We thought we were  suspended and locked out by these advertisers coz bloggers from other areas in the Klang Valley and East Malaysia were able to log in to these sites.  When I called Streamyx,  I was given the same unacceptable answer and help.  I find that even after 1 full day of Streamyx being down at certain areas, the Help Desk officers are still unaware and not notified of the problem.  Instead, they give useless advice and step-by-step instructions to change the settings in our PC or delete certain files and cookis which had once caused my PC to go haywire.  Streamyx sucks don’t they?   Chin Nee was telling me maybe we should switch to Maxis or other providers.

Lousy Mood

I’m in a real lousy mood now coz I have lost almost 100 posts from both my blogs.  Most of them are sponsored posts that are unapproved and unpaid yet.  If I can’t retrieve my post,  my heart will really ache.  It’s like loosing something costly that you’d put in so much effort, time and sacrifice into.   I’ve also wasted a lot of time today checking which posts I have lost.  I haven’t replied to any of the comments that I’d received today for my blogs and I haven’t visited any blogs yet.

The problem started after my computer came back from the computer shop.  I’d spoken to the Assistant Manager of the shop and of course, he said he didn’t delete anything or format anything, save for installing the new version of Internet Explorer into my PC.   Yeah, yeah,  he can wash his hands clean and tai chi everything back to me but if he really did something which caused my posts to vanish,  then God bless him.  God will bless me too.

I’m In Deep Shit

Yes I am coz all of a sudden, a handful of my posts have vanished from both my Blogspot blog and this blog.  Most of them are paid posts by Digivate (recent unapproved ones all gone), Blogsvertise (recent unapproved ones all gone),  Blogging Ads (old gone), PU2B (recent unpaid ones all gone) and God knows what other posts have vanished.  Blogsvertise has already sent me an email stating that they can’t locate the URL of my post.  I don’t know how much I am going to loose if I can’t retrieve all my posts. 

I’m praying that after I have re-installed the old version of Internet Explorer back to my computer,  the vanished posts will re-appear again.  Else, all my hard work, lost of sleep, time and effort will vanish in thin air too and I’m going to be really upset!  I’m already very upset now.  God please help me salvage my lost posts!
