This week has been a sick week for Cass and Sherilyn. First it was Cass who was down with a bad throat and today Sherilyn is down with suspected food poisoning. I suspect that the nasi lemak that she pestered me to buy for her yesterday morning was the culprit.  Sherilyn has been puking non stop since last night through today. She is really sick and has been hallucinating before I fed her with the anti-vomiting medicine.  She appears to be a tad better now after taking the anti-vomiting medicine, a long nap and a shower. If you have had experience with your kids hallucinating when they are sick, that can be a very frightening and worrying experience.
This was what I cooked for Cass earlier this week when she was sick – baby porridge with meat, brocolli and carrots.
To avoid having a whiny kid bawling at the sight of porridge, I packed wanton noodles for my most persnickety daughter for lunch…
It is so hard to please my girls as the three of them have different preferences for food. What’s it with kids these days huh? I cannot remember a time when my parents deliberately made a trip out to the shop to buy me something that I liked to eat on days when my grandma cooked something that I disliked. Whether I liked the food or not, I still had to swallow it down. Maybe we parents have to be harsher to discipline our kids, like the olden days parents did!
