My parents have been in KL since last Thursday. We have been having many eating sessions and the girls have been having loads of fun time with koong koong and granny. They will certainly miss my parents when they return to Ipoh tomorrow. Tomorrow is the start of the first day of school and we will all have to get accustomed to rigid timing again… from waking up at 5:45am to going to bed at 9pm, tuition, homework and loads of stress associated with school, sigh……!!!!!  Poor Alycia would have to leave the house at 6:30am, only to return home at 2pm. Poor poor girl.
This afternoon through now, my dear mum has been helping me wrap Alycia’s books. Guess how many books she has to wrap for a Primary 2 kid? 69 books I kid you not!! Thankfully there’s such a thing as ready book covers and she didn’t have to wrap them from scratch like we used to during our time 30 years ago.
On 30 December (last Thursday) was hubs’ birthday. We had a ‘crabby’ dinner at Tak Fok restaurant at Palm Square, Jaya 1 PJ. This restaurant is well known for their crab dishes. After dinner we went next door to Wendy’s to grab some ice-creams for the girls and then went over to Starbucks to have coffee and a cake cutting session at Starbucks…
We had a pretty quiet New Year’s Eve. Hubs’ catering service was booked full, so we didn’t have the usual party at home where our friends would gather, eat, toast, count down and then watch fireworks from the 5th floor of our unit. But we did stay up to midnight to watch the spectacular fireworks from our unit. The fireworks this New Year’s Eve was spectacular and pretty long, lasting over 10 minutes. We saw the fireworks from 5 different places – KLCC / KL Towers area, Dataran Merdeka area, Little India / Le Meridien / Hilton Sentral area, among others. That’s one of the things iLike about living in a condo, great view of the city and the occasional fireworks display throughout the year.
How was your New Year’s Eve celebration?
