If It’s Too Good To Be True…

…chances are it ain’t true! Cases of gullible people being conned into parting with their money is so rampant these days. Though you read cases of these scammers in the newspapers almost everyday, yet people are so gullible when it comes to easy money-making opportunities that seem too good to be true. Years ago, my mil received a phone call from a lady who congratulated her that she had won some big prizes! She was asked to return the lady’s call to claim the prize. When she told us about it, we all told her that the lady was most likely a trickster. Recently, a man was made into believing that by parting with a sum of money as deposit to buy gold coins, he would be able to reap some huge profits. He was of course conned by the group of scammers. If you ever get stopped on the street by a stranger who offers you something too good to be true, chances are they are big time scammers. If you want to invest in gold coins, make sure to get them from reputable website like the United States Gold Bureau.

  1. My mom who constantly listen to the radio and telling us how silly some people are in falling for these pranks actually fell for one herself. It’s all about GREED! Thankfully we managed to get back all the money she ‘invested’ so it was definitely a lesson well learnt!
