How We Celebrated Baby C’s Birthday

You know what? I’m suffering from insomnia now. You must be thinking how a severely sleep-deprived mommy like me would suffer from insomnia, right? Well, I know I am exhausted and sleepy but darn the Chinese tea that I kept drinking over dinner at the restaurant just now. My body is really sensitive to the caffeine in Chinese tea and I shouldn’t have drunk it at night. But I was darn thirsty and the weather has been really hot.

We had a real sumptuous Taiwanese steamboat to celebrate Baby C’s first birthday, with some relatives. Gosh, the soup base for the steamboat was so tasty. It had generous amounts of herbs and garlic pips and I kept drinking the soup and feasting on the delicious super-thinly sliced lamb and beef and meat balls.

Since I can’t seem to fall into slumberland, I might as well update everyone on how we celebrate my sweetie-pie’s birthday. Well, it wasn’t anything grand but we enjoyed the Taiwanese steamboat very much. I shall blog about this restaurant in my next post.

I was glad that my sweetie-pie did not cry when we sang her “Happy Birthday”. She gave us her sweetest smile and a most curious stare at her Pooh Bear jelly birthday cake. When Alycia and Sherilyn celebrated their first birthdays years ago, they wailed big time when we sang “Happy Birthday” to them. They were not used to the hoopla, singing and crowd then but my sweetie-pie is all too familiar with noise and crowd, as she’s got 2 very rambunctious sisters at home.

My birthday wish for Baby C is that she will be healed completely from her current health predicament and that she will have no more UTI attacks after her impending surgery. I hope God will grant her good health, happiness and a bright future. I will be a real proud mommy if she ever becomes a Massachusetts OUI Lawyer, a doctor or someone successful. However, I will still be very happy if she is neither the above but has good health, peace and happiness always.
