Yummy And Easy To Cook Mac And Cheese

One of the food that Alycia and Sherilyn will never get fed up with is mac and cheese. And just like the song sang by Barney and Friends on mac and cheese, they can have macaroni, macaroni, mac and cheese everyday, 3 times daily! Their favorite is the one by San Remo.  It contains no added MSG and it’s really easy to cook.

All I have to add are some fresh milk or milk powder, butter  and dump the whole packet into 2 glasses of water in a pan, keep stirring for 10 minutes and voila, this is what I get :

…. a creamy and cheesy bowl of mac and cheese.  I can even add a slice or two of Kraft singles cheese or some mozarella cheese to it to make it more cheesy.

I cooked this for the gals yesterday. I added some pan-fried salmon fish and mixed veggie (all left over from the night before) to the mac and cheese and they wolfed down their bowl of mac and cheese in a jiffy.  No bribes and coercing on Sherilyn to eat her meal….. no need 2-3 hours to finish her meal painfully and no need screaming and threatening her with the cane too.

  1. There’s a ready made for mac and cheese? Aiyo, I only know about this now. LOL! I better get a pack and try out too, the real mac and cheese recipe is too troublesome for me.

  2. The last time I gave my lil one cheese, he dislike it. Maybe I shd try this instead since he is now 1.5 yrs … hopefully he likes it cos I think food with cheese is good … high calcium mah.

  3. Ohhhh Bryan also a HUGE fan of mac & cheese – 3 times daily, pretty please! Btw those in the packet is very high in fats. I have a superb recipe for self-made mac & cheese which is very easy to make. I usually make in batches and then freeze. If you want the recipe, let me know ok.

  4. Baby C has grown so much!
I read ur previous post abt the stroller accident, oh my goodness, i am glad u are both alright.
my heart skipped a beat when i read that.

  5. Actually..the sodium level is seriously high. Sigh..but isn’t it the easiest thing to cook? My No.1 also loves it..I forbade my No.2 to eat..coz I think his kidneys are still too young. He gets quite upset when his koko is eating it. At first I put the whole sachet in (mine’s a Kraft version)…then I decided to reduce it by half. Luckily, my No.1 isn’t very smart..he just whacked it in, and said, “YUMMY!”

    WAKAKAKAAKAKAKAKAKAA!

  6. Phaik Ling… I have my own self-created recipe for Mac & Cheese too. Pretty much the same ingredients – milk, butter and cheese. I normally cook this for them but I sometimes buy the San Remo ones for variety.

Mott….. oh yes, I know that. Anything that’s fast and easy to cook has high sodium in them, esp canned food. I don’t pour in all the cheese powder to cook. I only use half the cheese powder and give the remaining half to my maid for her to cook instant noodles.

  7. Alycia’s birthday is coming! I’m pretty sure you’ll manage your time and arrange a party celebrating her new age. Waiting for an entry with lots of photos talking about your daughter’s birthday!

I enjoy your blog very much. Thanks!

    Have a nice day!

  8. I love the Mac & Cheese too from San Remo. By the way I just launched a new flavor for San Remo. Do look out for the Creamy Onion & Mushroom flavor. Its good. Hehehe…
