The day before our flight to Bangkok, I realized that I didn’t have a luggage tag /identifier for my luggage bag. The last time that I went overseas was to New Zealand and Hong Kong and that was more than 8 years ago.
It was already in the evening and I was lazy to drive out to hunt for one. So I hunted my cupboard for something that may be suitable – whether it was a ribbon or colorful washi tape, I was willing to use whatever I found. I wasn’t prepared to spend over RM20 on an expensive luggage tag.
We all know how important a luggage tag / identifier is when we check in our bags into the cabin. A colorful or fun shape identifier is easy to spot from the luggage carousel in a sea of suitcases.
Guess what I found? A new cat collar that I had bought for Haru a few months ago in bright orange, complete with a green bow with lilac polka dots and a cute bell too 😁
And my cheap and trustworthy cat collar that costs less than RM4 bought from Mr DIY went to Bangkok and came back to Malaysia in tact. It survived the jostling and remained clipped nicely to my bag handle.
I’m so glad that my desperate lightbulb moment proved to be a success. In future when I go overseas, I will use Haru’s collar again for my luggage 😸
