That’s How Sher Eats Her Cheese

That’s how Sher eats her cheese. She tears the slice of cheese into tiny pieces, then she tells me what each piece of cheese looks like….. she would tell me if it is a triangle, square or rectangle or whether the cheese looks like a tiger, a chicken or a dinosaur, etc. LOL! Then she would put each tiny bit of cheese into her mouth and enjoy her cheese.

I think most kids love cheese. Alycia and Sherilyn love cheese to bits, especially Laughing Cow and Happy Cow triangle wedges and Laughing Cow party cubes. They can finish the entire box in just 2-3 days. But I’m really not too keen in feeding them with cheese everyday. If you read the labels, you will notice that cheese is loaded with sodium, nitrates (preservative), coloring, flavoring and other food additives. The only cheese that I know of that’s free from preservative and low in sodium is Babybel cheese but my gals don’t really like it coz it’s a tad bitter and hard too.

What cheese do you feed your kids with?

  1. I think it’s so cute how kids deal with food. When I ask Caitlin to try something new, she would test a little bit, and nod to herself and say “Mm (agreement) Good.”

    🙂

But I haven’t started her on cheese yet; maybe I should soon!

  2. cheese is delicious =) Sher looks so pretty with the pink tiara and her hair tied. Looks like you are letting the gals grow their hair.

  3. The girls like Gouda cheese from Holland and we’ve tried lots of different gourmet cheeses. They also like the usual cheddar Americans put on everything, but sharper. Become very American liao in their “cheese tolerance”.

  4. The cheese I give my boys and gals depend on which brand is on offer. Nwadays cheese is soooooo very xpensive if no promotion. Sometimes Chesdale, sometimes Mother’s choice ad sometimes the Australian brand cnt recall the name. Hardly buy Kraft nw coz very expensive RM8-11 for 12 pcs.when offer time only RM5.80 to 7.00 at TESCO or JUSCO. My kids just munch on it anytime they like. My little girls can take 2-3 pcs per day. Sometimes I melt the cheese on Nachaos (the corn chips) as snack for them. I love cheese melted on sweet sour crab.yummy!
