Today, Cass shared some exciting news with me—she has been selected by her high school to participate in an English essay competition at Sunway College next month! Out of all the students in her school, only 15 were chosen, and she is thrilled to be one of them. Writing has always been one of her strengths, and I’m so proud that she is being recognized for her talent.
But that’s not all—Cass has also decided that she wants to take part in the prestigious Skate Malaysia competition in June after all! This comes as a surprise because the competition falls just a month before her SPM Trials. Balancing both skating and studies is no easy feat, but Cass is confident that she can manage. She reassured me that she will stay committed to her studies while preparing for the competition.
However, there’s one hurdle—her skating coach has not yet confirmed if she can still take on one more student. With 20 students already participating, the coach has her hands full choreographing their routines. We’re now waiting for her final decision, but whatever the outcome, I know Cass will give her best in both her academics and skating.
Juggling school, extracurricular activities, and competition training is no small challenge, but if there’s one thing I know about Cass, it’s that she thrives under pressure. I’ll continue to support her every step of the way, no matter what she decides!
