Chicken drummets (free from antibiotics and hormones) are currently on sale at my neighborhood supermarket, and I’ve been stocking up on them to air fry and grill. Not only are they delicious, but they’re also incredibly easy to prepare. Alycia and Sherilyn love them just as much as I do, but Cass, being the fussy eater she is, sticks to her usual preference—chicken breast or boneless chicken chops. Despite that, I still buy drummets in bulk and marinate them in different flavors to keep things exciting.
One of the best things about chicken drummets is their versatility. You can season them in countless ways, from classic soy sauce-based marinades to spicy Cajun rubs. Since Cass only eats boneless chicken, I also marinate boneless chicken chops using the same flavors.
Today, I bought three more punnets of drummets and whipped up a delicious marinade using:
Tomato ketchup
Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
Soy sauce
Cajun seasoning
Black pepper
Brown sugar
Lemon juice
Lots of chopped garlic and shallots
The mix of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors makes these air-fried drummets absolutely irresistible!
Once marinated, I air fry the drummets to perfection, achieving a crispy outer layer without excessive oil. The queen of the house who’s very fussy when it comes to food approves too! These flavorful drummets will be my lunch for the next two days, paired with either blanched broccoli or my latest obsession—wild rocket salad. Simple, healthy, and oh-so-yummy!
Do you like air-fried chicken drummets too? What’s your favorite way to marinate them?
