How to Treat a Minor Burn Quickly and Effectively

The other day, I seared my finger while removing a slice of toast from the air fryer. Unfortunately, my finger accidentally touched the heated part of the air fryer, and within minutes, a painful blister formed.

As soon as the burn happened, I acted quickly. I ran my finger under cool running water for a minute and then applied an ice pack for another minute to soothe the burn. After that, I applied antiseptic cream and covered it with a band-aid. Thankfully, by nighttime, the pain had subsided, and the blister reduced significantly.

If you ever experience a minor burn, here are the steps you can take:
1. Immediately run the burned area under cool (not icy) running water for a few minutes.
2. Apply a cold compress to the affected area for additional relief.
3. Gently apply antiseptic cream to prevent infection.
4. Cover the burn with a bandage or plaster to protect it.

By following these simple steps, your burn should heal quickly with minimal discomfort. Stay safe when handling hot appliances and this is a reminder to myself to be very, very careful when using the air fryer!
