24 December 2023 ~ Random Updates

Christmas dinner came early for us this year. Hubby roasted turkey at his kitchen for us and his staff on 22nd December, on Winter Solstice Festival.

There was a delish accompanying sauce for the roast turkey, made from the turkey oil and innards. My thoughtful hubby even deboned the meat for me to bring home for his girls.

I boiled a ginger + pandan leaves + purple sweet potato tong sui to go with the tong yuen.

The girls are crazy over this store-bought tong yuen with black sesame filling. I boiled two packets but still there wasn’t enough for everyone. Next time I have to boil three packets.

A few days ago, Alycia and her course mates were invited by their Thai classmate to his house for dinner. All the food on the dining table here was cooked by the boy’s Thai mum. Amazing!

The girls were all busy today – Alycia was at her weekend part-time job, Sherilyn was at a dance competition and Cass was out the entire day, so I took over the Christmas gift-wrapping task this year. When Alycia got home from work, she helped a bit. Hubby wasn’t pleased with the gifts that I bought earlier and we made an impromptu plan to shop for new gifts this afternoon ๐Ÿคจ.

Tomorrow will be a long and busy day for me. I’ll be up very early to complete some chores, then leave the house by 8.30am for Christmas service in church. Then we’ll be having lunch, followed by the annual Christmas party at hubby’s aunt Wendy’s house in the evening.

I’d like to wish all my amazing blog readers, friends and loved ones a season of warmth, joy, and happy moments. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season. Thank you for being a part of my journey โค๏ธ๐ŸคŸ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…
