Happy New Year 2022!

Hiya peeps! Happy New Year!

How has the start of a brand new year been to you? I sincerely hope that all’s well with you and that you guys are not affected by the floods.

We had another quiet New Year’s Eve again and had lunch with our BFFs on the first day of 2022.

Other than the lunch with our friends, things are pretty much mundane here. I got so excited when I received a notification from MySejahtera on 1.1.2022 informing me of the date of my booster jab 😁. The mil also received a notification from MySejahtera on 1.1.22 and she received her booster dose today at Mid Valley Megamall. Hubs, mil and I will be getting Pfizer for our booster jabs; all of us received AstraZeneca for our first 2 vaccines.

Alycia’s semester break ended yesterday and she went back to college today to commence her second semester. She passed the trial driving test last week and her JPJ driving test will be on 11 January 2022! I’ll have to brave myself to sit next to her for her practice lessons this weekend. I have to remind myself not to yell and jump out of my seat when she drives around in my car 😅

Sherilyn will be in Form 5 come March 2022, which is now the new academic year, no thanks to Covid. For decades, the new academic year has been the first week of January.

Cass will be in Junior High 2 when school starts on 10 January. As her school is a private school, they will be following their school’s own guidelines. Cass will have to be in school 4 times a week and classes for the remaining 2 days will be conducted online.

Haru has been a very, very hangry cat a month after her spay surgery. She’s perpetually hungry and we have to feed her four times a day! She’ll be digging our trash can and jumping up our dining table to look for food about an hour after chomping down a packet of 85gm wet cat food! Sometimes she’ll walk into our microwave oven too. But she’s still lean and trim. She’s got a long body though  😸

I wonder how this spoilt kitty is going to survive at a cat hotel for 3 nights when we go back to Ipoh either during Chinese New Year or in March during the school holidays. She’s so used to having her freedom roaming the house all day and has 3 doting sisters and mom to play with her and cuddle her. I’m going to be worried sick of her when we are in Ipoh.

Does anyone have any good and caring cat sitters or cat hotels to recommend? I’m now contemplating Kitten Cottage at Taman Tun Dr Ismail. It’s a bit far from our place but I quite like how they let the cats out each day to mingle and walk around.

      1. I see. I guess that is the official explanation, but word on the street is that some of these vaccines are nearing their expiration dates. So that could also be one reason to push to clear up this remaining stock. Not sure how true this is; mere hearsay.

Anyway, here’s to hoping the rest of 2022 is kinder to all humanity.

        1. I don’t think so that these vax are nearing their expiration dates. The ones that we got are with expiration date on July 2022.
Yes, may 2022 be kind to all and sundry. Have a great year ahead!
