Haru’s appetite is getting better each day. But I’m going easy on feeding her too much, lest she throws up. She really loves the wet kitten food from Royal Canin. Though double the price of her usual wet food, it’s worth the price. I gave her half a sachet in the morning, a quarter in the afternoon and another half a sachet at night. She ate her food with much gusto without any coaxing. It must be the gravy that’s very appetizing. I added quite a bit of water into her food so that she’ll lap up more fluids. This kitty only drinks water if it’s added to her food and from the milk bottle.
Upon waking up this morning, I saw the post-op onesie and her surgical plaster removed. Haru’s a clean freak. I noticed that she would only remove the onesie by wriggling out of it (it’s a little big) when she needs to pee and poop. Smart cat, right?! Other than that, she’s fine with wearing the onesie. I’m only worried that she will lick her wound and tear off the sutures! That would be horror. I pray that Haru won’t do that.

So glad to see Haru is recovering. I’m wondering why the vet didn’t recommend a cone for her, at least for a few days.
Hi Chris
We have a cone for Haru but she doesn’t like it. She doesn’t like anything worn on her body, except for her collar. When we put the cone on her, she felt really uncomfortable and in distress. So we removed it 😀
Hello Shireen, how is Haru doing now?
Hello Alvin
Haru’s wound has an infection. I took her to the vet clinic today to have it cleaned. She needs to be on antibiotics again for another 5 days 🙁
