Haru turns 7 months old in July 2021 and she’s been with us for about 5 months now. Her eyes are certainly bigger than her tiny stomach. She loves food, just like the Yaps. But after she overeats, she tends to have diarrhea and even vomiting. So her health freak hooman mom would freak out each time this happens. Thus, I have put Haru on a diet.
Haru now gets two wet meals a day – fish in the morning and chicken / pork / fish for supper. We used to give her two heap teaspoons of Whiskas kibbles at 12 noon but I think the Whiskas brand of kibbles are not well tolerated by her tummy. There may be certain additives in the kibbles that are causing the diarrhea.
Haru’s stomach can’t handle wheat flour products well and she will have diarrhea or sticky poop after having a just a tiny amount of bread / pau / kibbles. So I’ve given all the Whiskas kibbles to Maria who will be giving them to her friend who has 10 cats in her flat!
I’ve now switched Haru back to Pro Diet kibbles (which is slightly costlier) and she only gets one teaspoon (flat) of kibbles at 12 noon and another one teaspoon at 5 p.m. as snack. No snacking at any other time. No feeding her excessively. Haru is allowed to be out of her cage during the day unless her ‘sakai’ mode is switched on.
I noticed that Haru will be switched into her ‘sakai’ mode if her tummy doesn’t feel comfortable. She gets hyper restless and runs around amok and bites things before the diarrhea or vomiting episodes.
With Haru’s new diet regimen, her tummy doesn’t feel bloated anymore. Her poop is back to normal. I have to be very firm with Sherilyn and Cass not to secretly feed Haru with kibbles or catnip biscuits just to gain Haru’s affection π.

Try Sensitive Digestion cat food, several companies carry that. Some also come in the wet form.
Hi Chris
Haru tolerates meat & wet cat food well. However, wheat flour products must be given minimally or she will have diarrhea and a bloated stomach.
I’ll check out Sensitive Digestion kibbles. Thanks for the suggestion! π
