Haru D Greedy now knows that the trash can at the dry kitchen has food scraps since the day she dug the can and found a huge chunk of KFC chicken skin that Cass threw away. Boy that was like finding a pot of gold for her! We were all busy with our things in the living room and forgot to close the kitchen door. When I stepped into the kitchen, I saw thrash strewn on the floor with the big piece of KFC chicken skin dangling on Haru’s mouth. When I reacted, Haru got scared and ran away, leaving the piece of skin on the floor 😹
Since that happy discovery day, Haru has been eyeing the trash can throughout the day. Yesterday she dug out a big piece of pau skin that Cass threw away. I suspect that Cass is deliberately throwing all the food scraps in the dry kitchen trash can as she knows that these are Haru’s favorite food. Today Haru climbed up the dining table and stole a piece of sourdough pancake when Cass let her out of the cage but didn’t watch her. Both Cass and Sherilyn were attending online lessons and I was washing the bathroom. When I came out, I saw Haru with a chunk of sourdough pancake on the floor.
Haru oh Haru, why are you always so hangry? You’re well fed but you behave like a stray cat eyeing everybody’s food all the time. 😹

Ever since we fostered Haru, a stray kitten, I have to do quite a bit of shopping for her. From cat litter to wet food, cat snacks, cat milk powder, litter tray, cat toys, catnip to scratch board, I never knew that having a cat involves so much shopping! Thankfully I can get all of Haru’s essentials from pet shops online without having to leave the safety and comforts of my house. The next on my shopping wish list for Haru is an enclosed covered cat litter box. Haru’s current litter box is not covered and she, who’s an OCD cat (just like her human mom!) sometimes causes a mess with sand strewn everywhere with her obsessive digging and covering up after she’s done with her deed .

Online shopping has helped me keep my sanity in check throughout the lockdown. Many of my friends are finding the same thrill scouting and shopping for cheap stuff like house plants for sale and cheap household storage products during the lockdown to beat the cabin fever. One friend even bought cheap condoms during a sale and was tickled pink with her cheap finds that she posted about her purchase on social media.
Sherilyn will surely love this beautiful succulent. I love this indoor hanging planter shelf. Throw in some indoor plants and the living room will instantly look transformed and livened.
Analysts and e-commerce companies like Aoin predict that the growing trend of online shopping is here to stay even when the pandemic is over. As I have now mastered the art of online shopping to save money and time, I prefer online shopping over mall shopping. Of course, I do miss mall shopping but I think I’m going to stay safe at home for some time until the pandemic in our country is under control and it’s safe for us to venture out again.
The durian season is back and the durian lover in me is back with a vengeance this year as I hardly had any last year. We’ve been having Musang King for brunch almost everyday the past one week and my cravings for MK durians is still not 100% satiated yet 😬
Thankfully this year we don’t have to break the bank to get the MK durians. Hubby is helping his best friend sell the durians and he gets the durians at a steal and sometimes at no cost. That’s what best friends are for. They’re no fair weather friends and they help each other out in good and bad times.
