Baan Thai 2 Seafood & Thai Cuisine, Jalan Kuchai Lama, KL

We finally made it to Baan Thai 2 last Saturday, 11 Aug 2018 after passing by this restaurant many times and wanting to try it. What turned us off each time was the long queue.

Though the waiting queue was massive, the hubs went ahead to get a queue number.  We waited for almost half an hour for a table. Pretty fast considering it was a Saturday night.

The waiting patrons:

Super spacious restaurant with high ceiling:

Comfortable and excellent ambience. Waiting staff were aplenty and they were all efficient and quick in clearing the tables and serving food. Service was pretty good.

We didn’t order any Tom Yam or spicy food as the hubs was feeling a tad ‘heaty’.

Pad Thai and steamed fish:

Braised pork with tofu and eggs; Khao Phat (Thai fried rice):

Green curry:

BBQ squid:

Grilled lobster, which was the star dish for the night, came towards the end of our meal. Love the oozing creamy roe, which ain’t good for my cholesterol!

Heavenly santan-ish desserts! I could feel inches creeping up my hips just by looking at them!

The owner and chef are Thai, thus the authenticity of the food and Thai feel of the restaurant. Food was scrumptious and we enjoyed our dinner very much. This is definitely our kind of meal ~ toothsome and not too spicy. We’ll definitely be back again to try other dishes.
