Izumio For Good Health

Wednesday is CoCo day in school for Drama Queen and Cass. They stay back until 3:30 p.m. and will only be home around 4-ish p.m.  Ever since Cass had a bout of high fever (41 degrees Celsius) on her second CoCo day in school about 2 months back, I have this phobia that she would have high fever again after being in the hot afternoon sun on CoCo days. To me, she is still a fragile baby like she was but truth is, she’s much stronger than what I think she is – physically, mentally and emotionally. I have gone through so much with her and watched how much she suffered during her baby days.  I really don’t wish to see her suffer anymore pain and I want no more hospitalization stays with her again, ever.

To give me a peace of mind on CoCo days, I pack a pouch of hydrogen water into Cass’ lunch bag on CoCo days. Since she doesn’t want me to drop by in school so often now, I let her bring the pouch of hydrogen water to school herself. I used to drop by in school to check on her 1-3 times in a week, gave her the hydrogen water, made sure that she peed and chatted with her teachers and friends. But lately, she kept telling me that the principal does not encourage visiting parents in school except if the child is unwell. Oh well. I guess I just have to learn to let go and let Cass grow up *crying a river*

Cass will grow up well, I know she will.
