Our Sunday In Ipoh – 20 December 2015

Today is chillaxing day at home for the kids and me, while my dear papa and mum are slogging in the kitchen to prepare all our favorite food.

Papa has been working in the kitchen doing all the prep for tonight’s  home-cooked dishes while mum has been prepping the black sesame paste, peanut paste, pandan juice and dough for tang yuan (rice balls) for Winter Solstice celebration on 22 December.

Cass is self-entertaining herself on mum’s indoor exercise bicycle and playing pretend cooking. She ‘dished’ out her self-titled “RM2,000 emperor lunch set” for me for lunch.  Sherilyn is messing up with my mobile phone and laptop!

Guess what Cass called the dish on the empty yellow plate?  It’s an “invisible grilled squid” since there wasn’t any toy squid at home. She knows that I love grilled flying squid from our favorite Japanese restaurant.

Above – I got a pleasant surprise when I went into my bedroom.  I saw Alycia donning on my 2-decade old singlet, which she fished out somewhere deep inside my untouched drawer!  My just-turned 12YO sweetie has grown so  much.  She was on her iPod and new headphone from HK  and in her own pre-teen world chatting with her friends and You Tubing.

Happy Sunday world, with love from the Pomelo Land! 🙂
