After a week of super rich food indulgence in Hong Kong, it’s time to start eating ‘humble’ food again 😀
My tummy and innards cannot stomach such meat-intense and high caloric  meals everyday. While we were in Hong Kong, we had a snake meal on the second day, where almost every dish that was served had snake meat in it. And not forgetting the roast goose, crabs, beef, sharks’ fins, roast pigeon, fattening ‘por lor’ bun, egg tarts, dim sum, seafood and sweet deserts that we indulged in almost everyday.
Here’s what I had for lunch today…
A slice of bran and wheat bread with a drizzle of organic extra virgin coconut oil and maple syrup. Â I didn’t know that coconut oil on bread would taste so good! It reminds me of the sweet coconut buns from my favorite bakery. Â And there was not a tinge of rancid coconut taste from the coconut oil. Instead the coconut oil was very flavorful.
Homemade smoothie of the day is pineapple + green apple + orange.
Tonight, I will be dishing up a meat-free stir-fried vermicelli with 2 types of fresh mushrooms, carrots, cabbage and lots of onions and garlic 🙂
