Black Monday and Monday Blues, that’s how my Monday is today.
Damn that alarm clock of mine, that died down on me, it failed to wake me up again! I always have my mobile phone alarm as back-up to wake me up but dang it, I had left it at my work desk last night!
So instead of waking up at 4:45am, I was jolted up from bed at 6:15am when I took a closer look at the damn alarm clock in the still of the darkness. With just 15 minutes before the transporter arrived, I quickly woke Alycia and Sherilyn up. Told them to settle their drinks themselves. No time for breakfast. No time to dilly dally. No time to even poo. They just had to get dressed up first and do the rest later, if they have the time. Poor girls didn’t even get to eat breakfast.
I felt as if I was rushing to catch a train or plane that was about to leave. But we managed to reach the lobby just in the nick of time, phew! I. Hate. Waking Up Late!
Today’s mission is to buy another alarm clock. Perhaps I should even buy two alarm clocks as back-up!

15 minutes before the van arrives? If me, I don’t think I even have the time to drink, coz you say ask them to settle their drinks themselves.. I think 15 minutes is just enuff for me to brush my teeth, mandi kerbau and change.. Wow, salute the girls, I don’t think I can be ready in 15 minutes, hehe..
I can actually. Everything must do super fast and can only drink plain water and damn stress *sweats*
Good idea to have more than 1 alarm clock. If I’ve to wake up for a doctor/dentist appointment or to catch a bus for a day trip, I set 2 alarm clocks and back up with 2 mobile phones (Papa’s and mine). I’d wake up 15 mins. earlier than the hotel morning call while on holiday so can use the bathroom before Papa!! Anyway, luckily they managed to catch the bus, phew, must be very stressed at that time!
WOW, you are super efficient mum! LOL!
Put one alarm clock in the kids’ room for double security. 🙂
Hi Wai Mun ,..Actually there is an alarm clock in their room. But the problem is they always forget to turn it on and me, the super bz mom also always forgets to check that it’s turned on, sigh. Now, must really check each night. Thanks for the reminder 🙂
Reminds me of my school days when all of us only woke up when the school bus is at our doorstep and we asked the bus to wait for a while for us to hurriedly dress and go to school. Those were the days. Can feel your rush getting ready. Maybe another two alarm clocks will be better!
And your bus driver was so kind to have waited for you!!
Sometimes the bus waits sometimes the bus just leaves and my late father would send us to school.
