Morning Routine

This has been my morning routine for the past 4 years.

Waiting with my angels for their transporter to shuttle them to school.

Then, I have my me time.  Here’s where I do my morning run when it is still pretty dark outside and I find absolute peace when I am at it.  I do all my soul-searching, brainstorming and empty all the negative vibes from my within and fill in positive ones.

Morning routine 9 Oct- 2

Today I have skipped the morning run as I have to follow Cass to a community hall for her school’s rehearsal concert. As usual, I will be one of the two or three moms who decide to tag along.  Not complaining, though I’d rather be home to get my work done but what the heck, this will be Cass’ second last year doing this and then she will be off to the big girl’s school in no time. I’ve had an enjoyable time with Cass and her friends in the bus ride last year for the same purpose. Now, all her classmates and kids from other classes know me. When they see me, they will all say “hello Cassandra’s mummy!” 😀

  1. I would do the same for my son…..hang around them, even during rehearsals. My son likes it. He feels loved and supported. I am sure Cass would feel the same.

  2. Haha… yes, enjoy it while it lasts! My kids’ classmates mostly know me as well, they’d happily call me or point at me, “William’s Mummy!” or when I turn up unexpectedly at school, they’d quickly point me out, “William!! Your mummy is here!”

Once I was at Vic’s school talking to the GM on the toilet issue, just as the kids were walking to their classes from assembly hall, and half the class waved at me and called me… aiyooo aitelya, I feel so touched, a bit like celebrity even! Hahaha… cheap thrill!

  3. I’m back from the rehearsal! When some of Cass’ friends saw me, they looked stunned and then giggled coz I am the ONLY parent there today LOL!. Then one cheeky boy said “Cassandra, your MUM?? Aiyoyo, why is your mum here?!” I told him I was there to join in the fun haha

  4. You should pat yourself on the shoulder for the taking the interest in, and spending your precious time with your youngest. Parental support and participation will definitely encourage the child to do her best. Not every parent has the opportunity to do that.
