Art For Year 4 KBSR Students

A few days ago, I was taken by surprise when Alycia showed me a pack of colorful styrofoam pieces for assembling.  For a moment, I thought that her friend had given her a pack of jigsaw puzzle. But she told me that it was her school homework from Art class!  I thought that she was  pulling my leg.  For the life of me, I have never received such fun looking homework from school, ever!  How could she have received from her school such awesome home assignment?  I think it is good that kids are given the opportunity to learn how to assemble such things.  I admit that I am terrible in assembling crafts like this one.  I have no patience or interest to do such stuff. So thumbs up to the school for introducing such an interesting craft to pique the interest of kids from young.

Alycia, having so much fun assembling the photo frame, which took her less than 15 minutes

Daddy was equally surprised to see this photo frame! For the lives of us, we have never done such  fun thing in school. All we did was the boring old stuff of drawing and painting lol!

Lastly, the pupils are to insert a photo into the photo frame before submitting their assignment to the teacher and Alycia chose her class group photo 🙂

When The Brain Feels Sluggish

Being a blogger, I have my fair share of days when my brain feels like it ain’t performing up to par and needs a jolt from its dormant state of mind. Today is just one of those days. I knew that today would be one of those days when the brain feels sluggish the minute the alarm on my mobile phone buzzed at 5am. Normally, I would spring right out from bed but today, my head felt fuzzy and my body felt burnt out. My body was able but my mind was not. I was so tempted to cover myself with the blanket and return to slumberland but a few seconds of shut eye could eventually lead to an hour and this can be disastrous on a school-going day! I can only blame it on the wacky hormones wrecking havoc inside me at this time of the month.

On a school-going day, the mornings are the best time for me to nap as there is absolute peace at home with no disruption and hullabaloo from the kids but I normally take the opportunity to make full use of the peace to do my online assignments and work from my online store. I am so tempted to take a cat nap now but I have to help the hubs with some work and to check out some knoll sofa at homeq.com.au. We are looking for a new set of sofa and I will be surfing the net to check out for stunning selections for ideas. I have exactly forty whirlwind minutes  to complete my work before it is time to pick up Cass from school and that will be the start of my stressful day once the rascals are back!
