5th December 2003 will forever be the most memorable day of my life. It is the day that I had waited for for many years and after many painful months. Though she was in my tummy, I had fears, worries and doubts until I met her. The moment my eyes met hers, all the pain that I had gone through to get her melted away together with the tears of joy. I will never forget the wink she gave me in the OT room. She was wailing away to breathe in air into her lungs but the moment the anesthesiologist placed her in my arms, she stopped crying instantly and stared into her mummy’s eyes. And hubby will never forget that priceless moment – the moment that the both of us had so long to embrace together for years… though after the C-section op he told me he felt nauseated looking at the blood that was splattered everywhere on the floor of the OT room.
A picture that is 8 years old. My very first picture with my precious baby, taken with a conventional manual camera.
My first few moments with my precious baby. She was the most beautiful baby I had met. As a baby, her hair was almost blond, her lips were as red as rose (and still is), her skin as fair as snow and her dimples are still her most attractive assets.
Happy birthday my darling Alycia and may God bless you with many, many more.
Love, mummy
