I have to knock myself on the head today for I am such a blur mother sotong! I woke Sherilyn up at 7:30am as usual, nagged her till no end to finish her milk quickly, wash up quickly and dress up quickly. I nagged her with the same words, telling her that she would miss her school Assembly again if she dilly dallies, threatened her that she will be kicked out from school next year when she goes to Primary 1, if she continues to be late for school. She was in her whiny mode and me, I was in my monster mommy mode. After going through the same motion with her every morning, she was finally ready and I sent her off with hubs.
Mil came back from her morning walk. She asked me if there’s school today as the pre-school looked seemingly quiet and devoid of humans. I smugly told her got what, why don’t have. After all, Alycia went to school this morning. Other kids from our condo also went to school this morning, so why not for Sherilyn? 5 minutes later, my handphone blasted. Hubs’ number was on the screen. I could feel air being released from my big head. Uh-oh, I just knew that he wanted to ask me to bring Sherilyn up and I was prepared to hear him pass some remarks about my carelessness. But he didn’t hah!
It was still a holiday for the pre-school. My maid went down to bring Sherilyn up. When my maid was back, she told me that a lady from our condo with a grand daughter from the same pre school saw Sherilyn in her school uniform and passed some remarks. Duh, I know. I am a blur mommy who’s getting old. I should have used a magnifying glass when I read her message book and marked my eCalendar. Sigh. I better not repeat this boo boo again.
