My online store

My online store not only carries a wide range of pretty clothes for kids, ladies and cool kids stuff, I also sell used stuff and handmade crafts in my store. Anyone can sell their used stuff in my online store. All they need to pay is a 20% commission to me if their products are sold. Some of the items that people have tried to sell in my eStore include a pewter chess set, handmade crafts, second hand baby cot and even old gold coins! But would you buy gold from a blogshop? I would prefer to buy gold coins from reputable and established websites like the usgoldbureau.com.

Cassandra’s Terrible Twos

Screaming, yelling, resisting instructions, throwing herself on the floor when her whims and fancies are not met, choosing her own clothes, the list goes on…. I have gone through these Terrible Twos with my 2 older girls and am still battling the Terrible Fives with #2 and at the same time, battling Baby’s Terrible Twos now. My 2 younger girls are certainly a handful but no complaints. Each time the frustration and regrets creep out of me, I remind myself what I had gone through 8 years ago…. those days were filled with emptiness and frustrations of trying to conceive.

Anyway, back to Baby. She turned 2.5 years old 2 days ago. Her speech is in an explosive mode and she talks like a 4yo girl. She loves saying things like “oh no not again” when she’s served the same food or drinks…. “Oh my God!!” to exclaim surprise…. “I hate you!” when she fights with her jie jies … “mummy, look at cheh cheh…” (to report the naughty things that her cheh chehs do) and she can sing very well. She loves watching Ultraman with her 2 jie jies and can even sing the entire Ultraman jingle in Japanese, loves watching ‘Geng Bas Sekolah’ and ‘Belalang’ from Astro Ria with her jie jies and behaves like her 2 jie jies too.  And oh yes, each time she watches ‘Belalang’ (an epic on those olden days Malays who live in the kampung), she would tell me this “I want to live in the kampung” *slap forehead*  She tells me all the time that she loves going to school and learning ballet. I think she will have no problems if she goes to pre-school next year when she turns 3yo in April.

Cassandra is just another vain pot like #2, thank God! I was actually worried that she would turn out to be frumpy and doesn’t like dressing up haha!

Udon Noodles With Anchovies + Chicken Broth

I whipped this up for the kids’ lunch last week. It was so lip smacking delish that they all requested for it again the next day!

Here’s the pot of soup made from lightly pan fried anchovies and chicken bones, boiled for an hour.  While the pot of soup is wholesome, the commercially made fish balls and fish cakes ain’t that nutritionally sound as they are loaded with MSG, salt and food additives… and my kids love these fish balls the most.

A bowl of Udon noodles with fish balls, fish cakes, chicken breast and Chinese cabbage.  The blue bowl of noodles is for Baby.  I didn’t give her any of the salty fish balls but only the chicken meat, which she absolutely loved.

My New Work Station

This is my old work station – all cluttered and squeezy.   Totally no space for me to put anything else on the table…. The table was bought from Ikea too 4 years ago.

And this is my new work station, bought from Ikea on Sunday…. so spacious and iLove the little storage space with transparant plastic containers. This is the latest design from Ikea. Nice or not? Say nice lar!
I wanted to get myself a bright pink office swivel chair but had forgotten to put the stock into our cart upon check out, bummer!! Must get hubs to make another trip to get that pink swivel chair. I know the color is a bit off but I love pink… or maybe I should get the swivel chair in bright red to match those red containers. BTW, I also got a bright red cabinet from Ikea to store my stock and it’s now placed in the living room. Now, the house is very red, very ‘hoong’ and hopefully this will generate some good vibes and chi to the entire household!  Hmm, must do something about the unsightly cables and wires under the table though…

Hectic Day

I am still up at this crazy ungodly hour at 1ish am. I had planned to put Baby to sleep at 1030pm, then wake up to finish off 2 online assignments, reply my customers’ emails, shoot out invoices and to check my 3 bags full of stock but I dozed off and only woke up at 1230am. Have just finished off the 2 online assignments and answered some of the emails but I shall only check my stock tomorrow. Sigh, when will my work ever end?? Thank God my mil is back from HK yesterday. At least there’s someone to take care of the cooking, entertain the kids, trim the kids finger & toe nails (LOL!) and my Mandarin tutor is back! The other day my hubs had to bring Alycia down to the Japanese restaurant to ask the owner to guide Alycia in her homework. All our friends who know Mandarin were unavailable at that time. This made me feel that I have done the right thing of sending Alycia to a Chinese school. I still regret not knowing how to read, write and converse in Mandarin. Had I known, I could have dealt directly with those suppliers from China.

Ok, gotta hit the sack now. It’s almost 2am now. Long day tomorrow, I mean today….

Our Sunday – Outing At Ikea

We spent the entire morning at Ikea yesterday. I wanted to get myself a nice storage to store my stock as they are increasing by the day. Right now, my stock is all stuffed inside those huge plastic bags from Disneyland and put on top of the kids’ table in the living room. They are such an eye sore. I better put them nicely as my mil will be back from HK today after being away for a few months. Don’t want her to flip when she sees the living room hahaha!

Love Ikea’s baby changing room  – so huge, so complete and so clean!

Baby playing with the toy while in the changing room.  The room is huge enough for us to push our cart in.

After shopping, we had lunch at the food court. The food was great and they are priced so reasonably too. Ikae was flooded with shoppers and we were lucky to be able to get a table at the food court.

Love the chicken wings…. but the muffin was rather bland in taste and hard…

Love Ikea’s meat balls too…

Baby enjoying the chicken wings… and said “like gun” as she held on to the wing that was shaped like a gun.  My helper forgot to put her bib into the bag and we had to make do with the huge paper hand towels from the baby changing room.

Hubby’s 7-seater MPV was really stuffed to the brim with my loot.  Not only had I bought a storage but also something else… I shall blog about it soon, so stay tuned!

My helper, Alycia and Sherilyn had to sit on top of those boxes and lie down throughout the drive home LOL!!

Gold Just Not Meant For Him

About 4 years ago, hubby had a string of misfortunes that befell him. His gold chain, gold wedding band and a gold bullion that he kept in his pouch were stolen by a fellow basketball friend, who was a teenager. He had left the pouch on a bench at the basketball court and he thought no one would steal it as everyone there was known to him. Then in the same year, his gold color MPV was stolen, on Christmas Eve. The car was parked right outside our house and was stolen in broad daylight. Everything in gold color that he owned was taken away from him *jink* That was a pretty unlucky year for him and I hope that these misfortunes will never happen to him again.

Sherilyn’s Best Friend

There was a lantern party to celebrate mooncake festival at Sherilyn’s pre-school 2 weeks ago. The pre-school holds this party every year. The kids, their parents and the teachers will walk round the neighborhood holding the lanterns and then there will be a party inside the school. It’s a party that my girls look forward to attend every year.

At the party, I finally met Berlyn in person. Berlyn is Sherilyn’s best friend and I also had the chance to meet Berlyn’s mum and her entire family. It was great chatting with her and talking about our 2 vain pot daughters who call each other very often.

Birds of a feather flock together – see the 2 vain pots?  Will they be best friends forever?   Till today, I still remember my pre-school best friend’s name but we had lost contact with each other for decades. Hmm, time to look for her in Facebook!
