Second Payment From Google Adsense

I received my second payment from Google Adsense several months ago but only had the time to withdraw the cash from Western Union several days ago.  The exchange rate was pretty good at 3.58 and I managed to cash out RM843.  Quite a lot of money eh?  I used to earn much more than that from writing paid posts during the good times 2 years ago. Oh well, nothing is forever.

So what am I going to do with the money? I wish I can splurge it anyhow I like but too bad, most of it will go towards my credit card account…. to partially settle the amount incurred on Baby C’s surgeries.

  1. oh.. how nice.. I just started and don’t even know how.. I blog in order to put that as my dairy and updates, but isn’t nice that can have income also.. hahhaha 🙂

  2. Barb… the USD200++ is for half a year probably, I didn’t really keep track of it. That’s considered very little. Some bloggers are making a few thousand bucks a month, just on Adsense *envious*

  3. congrats!!

i wanted to add google adsense too but i seem to hv difficulty adding to my blog. can u guide when u hv the time?

  4. congrates…use part of it to celebrate with ur 3 lovely angels & hubby lah as a way to pamper yourself for a job well done mah. the rest can still go for your credit card.

  5. wah, that is really good money leh… ur blog has to be really popular to get paid for adsense izit? or… ppl need to click on it? hmmm… sorry ah… still blur blur abt it, though my blog has adsense also, but duno how it works… and of cos, i dont get paid 🙁 uwaaaa…

  6. so, it does really work. congrats! sorry, still an amateur in this area – only blogging for the sake of blogging. dunno how 2 make money out of it yet and no time to explore also.

btw, i’m curious still as to which insurance company which doesn’t want to pay out to baby c’s surgery. it doesn’t sound right at all for them to say her surgery is excluded coz then, i’m wondering what kind of assurance we parents have when we do buy insurance for our kids.

  7. Syn Nee… It’s Prudential. They outright rejected the claim w/o even asking or reviewing the claim just becoz we once claimed her hosp bill. The first time we claimed it, it was for her 2nd UTI attack hospitalization bill. We understand that anything congenital is not claimable but we did declare that she had kidney reflux and the insurers approved our application. For this claim, it is clearly not congenital… partial obstruction of the guts is not congenital.

  8. Congrats! Still trying to figure out how Adsense works and besides, my blog is still quite new…building up on the traffic 1st. 🙂

  9. Wow! I’ve only just received my first payment after 3 years 🙂 And you got it after 6 months???

If I’m not wrong, all insurance companies will not support if your child has been hospitalized once. I remember people advising us to buy medical insurance as soon as the baby becomes eligibile – after 2 months old, I think.

If they will not pay for the non-congenital claim, then what will your current policy insure???

I’m starting to distrust insurance companies because my Mum’s having trouble claiming a small one my late father bought for my sis. Can you believe they want to make out the check in his name???
