Meal times have now become a battle for me with Baby C. She now refuses to sit on her high chair for more than 10 minutes. It’s really tiring having to constantly find new and interesting ways to keep her still on her chair. She loves her flash cards session but she would scream in frustration when she doesn’t get to play with the cards, haiz…. When it comes to playing with her masak-masak (pretend play) bowls, plates and spoons, she has now become bored of them and keeps throwing them on the floor, aargh!
She now likes having her cheh cheh playing peek-a-boo with her on her high chair… like this :
… and she hardly ever gets enough of having her cheh cheh play with her and talk to her. The sight of her 2 cheh chehs will surely make her squeal in delight… and I just love to see that 🙂
How long can these toy plates, cups and spoon last on her table?  Not even 5 minutes and then you’ll see them all strewn on the floor. Her after-meal times are back-breaking for both kakak and me as we will be picking up her toys, wiping the floor and scrubbing away porridge and food stuck to her table, chair and safety belt.

OMG!!!!!!!!! My no.3 is just like that now! I tell you, when they turn 1, they all decide that sitting down quietly and eating your meal is not the way to go anymore!!!
NO! must throw toys away!
NO! must scream and shout!
NO! must ppfffffbbbbtttt all the food out!
I swear…my kitchen utensils..one by one have been seeing more light of day, because it’s the only thing that seems to attract him! My various egg beaters (lucky I have so many types..so can bring out 1 by 1 each time), my wooden/metal big/small spoons/ladles, etc.
SO HARRRRRRDD! How come I can’t remember my other 2 kids doing the same thing? Haizzz..short memory ler
Eeeyeerrr baby C is so cute!!!! She looks like Sherilyn in the #2 photo.
Awwww….. she looks so cute with her hair tied up like that!
what about letting her watch her DVDs? Not a very good practice eh? I used to do that to distract Ashley 😉 Baby C looks so adorable with her hair tied up like this.
OMGosh! How much she has grown! She definitely has a lot of hair..way more than my Cassie.

Ha! Ha! Ha! That means she is a big girl now lor … right? Good Baby C! You are one healthy kid.
i like her hair, so curly and cute
She so cute with her hair tied up. Ya meal time is not an easy time. Now I need to either switch Barney CD or give my girl puzzle to make her sit tight.
just a phase la…………….
How about putting her and her 2 sisters at a kid’s table (smaller and lower) with kid’s chairs. Sometimes kids like that better because they feel it is customized to their needs. If she continuously throws her food etc, explain and warn her that it will be removed if she continues to do so. If she does it again, remove her food etc. Initially it may be difficult but she will start to get the idea of proper eating habits. If you like, place newspapers under and around the new table for easier clean up. Hope that helps 🙂
hehe.. your last paragraph really like describing my gal too! exactly the same lah. I’m still going thru this war of feeding, everyday.
