My Little Sleeping Beauty

… has been sleeping all day coz she took 3 doses of sedation meds this morning in order to knock her out completely for the MAG 3 scan.  I tell you, it was yet another stressful and anxious day for me at the hospital.

After spending the whole morning and afternoon at the hospital today, my sweetiepie only had her porridge at 3pm. To keep her eyes from drooping and to make her sit still while I fed her porridge, I let her hold on to her favorite Pureen baby biscuit.  Throughout the meal, her eyes almost wanted to shut.

After her lunch, my maid and I quickly gave her a bath, which was a struggle for us as she was crabby and sleepy and she kept struggling. She went into a deep sleep again even when I dried her hair with the noisy hair dryer. I think my sleeping beauty will sleep for the next 1-2 days resulting from the effects of the 3 doses of sedation meds.

Hop over to my health blog to read how the MAG 3 scan went and to view pix of the scan.

Peeka-Boo!

My sweetiepie loves playing peeka-boo with us now. One of the ways of keeping her still while we quickly dress her up after her bath is to play peeka-boo with her. My maid will be the one putting a nappy over her face and playing peeka-boo with her and I will hurriedly dress her up and fasten her diaper before she flips over and walk round my bed.

Bah, bah, bah….” (trying to say “boo“) My sweetiepie loves to say this while she puts both her hands on her face, playing peeka-boo with us.

Sending Them Off At KLIA

It was an entire day of packing Alycia and Sherilyn’s luggage and stuff yesterday. Just as we were about to leave the house for the airport, Sherilyn the menace and clumsypot dropped the lunch box that I put all their meds and vitamins. All the bottles of meds and vitamins were scattered on the floor. I tell you, I was enraged, so mad that I could feel steam shooting out from my head. The cap of one of the bottles containing the liquid vitamin broke and the vitamin seeped out.  My maid and I frantically searched for another bottle (a bottle small enough to fit into the tightly packed lunch box) and I quickly poured the vitamin into the new bottle and labeled the bottle.  Long story cut short, we managed to reach the airport just on time.  Didn’t even have the time to have a farewell meal at one of the restaurants as planned. After checking in, I quickly took the girls to the washroom, afterwhich my mil quickly brought them to the departure hall.

As we were all saying our good-byes and waving to each other, Baby C gave us all a surprise when she said “bah bah” (bye bye) and waved her hand at her 2 doting cheh chehs and mah mah!  Not bad for a 11-month old!
