Still Feeling Sluggish

I told myself last night that I’dĀ hit the sackĀ at 9:30pmĀ together with Baby CĀ and skip gym/jogging this morning so that I can get an extra hour of shut-eye but my plan never everĀ materializes.Ā  Baby C woke up at 5:30am and poo poo and I had to wash her up.Ā  This normally happens whenever she has a UTI attack.Ā  She would purge even in the wee hours of the morning.Ā  In fact, I woke up every 2 hours again to change baby’s diaper.Ā  Baby C is having yet another UTI attack now and I can’t do much except to wait until tomorrow for the urine culture resultsĀ and sensitivity reportĀ to be out before our doctor can treat her.

I am still feeling sluggish – feel cold and feverish, body feels sensitive and achyĀ when touched, phlegm is dark yellow with streaks of blood, throat hurts, head throbbing and having a slight dry cough.Ā  Have been gulping all my supplements, Cactus Juice and what not.Ā  I’m trying to avoid taking antibiotics as I’m still nursing Baby C.Ā  Have no appetite for much food and can only swallow soft food like bread and cake. Yeah I know, all carbo, fattening and unhealthy but what the heck, if they make me feel good when I’m sick, the heck with my weight!

  1. hey shireen, just a suggestion. could your hubs take one or 2 days off so he could help take care of the kids while you rest? if you don’t get enough rest, your body will take longer to recover (i’m sure you know that šŸ˜€ ) wish we stay nearer to each other so i could help you take care of your kids, the older ones, of course because I know baby C needs you and she’s being breastfed šŸ˜€

  2. I think if you want recover first, no choice…really need to go for antibiotic….otherwise, it will drag you longer and you suffer as well

  3. How are the results?

I know how u feel, Shireen. Even if the hubs take 100 days off..you’ll still have lots to do. It somehow never ends!

  4. Health comes first no matter what! Take good care! Eat what you feel like having and rest whenever you can spare the time. You really need to recover cos the kids need you.
