Mah Mah’s not coming back next week. Hubby received a call from his mum last night saying that she’s fallen ill, thus her flight will be postponed. The gals are disappointed that Mah Mah is not coming back yet. Alycia kept asking me when Mah Mah will be back. She said she misses Mah Mah’s cooking. She told me today that she loves Mah Mah’s cooking more than mine. Oh ok, that was like a slap on the face for me!

Sherilyn did it again. She spilled drinks again yesterday and I was extra mad with her coz it was not just plain water, it was soy bean milk…. sticky soy bean milk…. all on the table, the chair, the floor and on her clothes. She always spills drinks and drops food everywhere on the floor just when kakak and I are the busiest.
Yesterday she took 3 painful hours to eat a slice of bread for lunch. She also wanted to drink baby’s soy bean milk and demanded that she drank it directly from the bottle. Did I tell you that Sher has a fetish with mineral water bottles? I have another story to tell as regards Sher and her mineral water bottles. Anyway, back to yesterday. As I did not want to have another power struggle with her, I let her drink the soy bean milk directly from the mineral water bottle. Before I went into the bathroom to shower Alycia, I told her that I wanted to see the bread and soy bean milk finished as she had been sitting at the dining table from 12:30pm until 3:30pm! When I came out, my maid told me that Sher was playing with the soy bean milk in the bottle and had spilled the entire bottle of milk everywhere. I gave her a good spank on her hand. Tell me would your blood boil too? This happens everyday at every single meal!
If not for the wooden tray beneath her food and drinks, there would even be a bigger mess.

The last time I used my breast pump was more than 8 months ago. I have since kept the breast pump and Baby C has been latching on directly since then. I prefer direct latching on as it’s so convenient, I can feed her anywhere at anytime and I don’t have to wash and sterilize the breast pump. However, I will need to dig out the breast pump soon because when Baby C goes for the surgery in 2 weeks’ time, I think I will need to express out my milk for at least 1-2 days. Well, the surgeon told me that on the same day after the surgery, Baby C will be able to drink milk. I’m hoping that she will be just fine and won’t refuse milk after the surgery.

Mah Mah will be coming back from Hong Kong this week and my 2 older gals are excited. Mah Mah has been away for 3 months and she’s back to help me with the 2 older gals when Baby C goes for the surgery next month. This is a respite for me as I don’t have to worry about what to cook everyday. There will also be someone to entertain the gals. Hopefully Sherilyn will have fewer temper tantrums when her Mah Mah is around.

Baby C is now at the ‘throwing things out from playpen and cot’ phase. When Alycia was at Baby C’s age (around 9-10 months), she too loved throwing toys out from the playpen and cot. Being my first child, I didn’t know that babies go through this phase. I thought Alycia was being really cheeky and mischievous. But when Sherilyn also threw toys from the playpen and cot at around the age, I realized that it’s just one of the baby’s fleeting phase.

Sherilyn the menace seems to have boundless energy. Though she is now having a strep throat and cough, her energy level is still at an all-time high. Each day, I will have a frustrating time forcing her to take her nap in the afternoon. She would always tell me that she’s not sleepy but when evening sets in, she would konk out on the couch and would refuse to eat her dinner. Yesterday afternoon, I forced Sherilyn and Alycia into their bedroom and told them to sleep, else there would be no TV for them later. However, an hour later, I could still hear Sherilyn shaking her piggy bank, trying to count her coins. This brat is obsessed with the coins in her piggy bank and is always asking daddy and relatives for money for her piggy bank and coin box. When I told her how valuable gold is, she even asked daddy to give her lots of gold coins for her piggy bank! She said she wanted to save money to get married!

Alycia is my best assistant babysitter and she’s really a very caring, protective and loving cheh cheh to Baby C. Sherilyn is too but most of the time, she’s too playful and too rough with Baby C. Whenever I need to take my shower, I will put Baby C in the cot, ask Alycia to go into the cot too and both of them will watch a DVD.

When Alycia sat for her first Ting Xie last week, her teacher only gave her 3 out of 5 words as she thought that Alycia would not be able to write them. However, Alycia proved her teacher wrong and got all 3 correct. This week, her teacher asked her to write 5 words and Alycia got them all correct!
Alycia seems to be showing vast improving in her Mandarin and I hope she improves in her Ejaan too (she’s the weakest in her BM).

Yesterday morning, Sherilyn thought that her daddy would buy her a BIG BIG birthday cake to celebrate it with her friends in pre-school. According to her teacher whom I met this morning, she told me that Sherilyn announced to all her classmates first thing in the morning that her daddy will bring a big big birthday cake for her to cut and blow candles later. However, she was really disappointed when daddy only brought a tiny chocolate cake to school later. It was an eleventh hour thing. Daddy had a big function yesterday and was very busy yesterday. Yet he stole some time off to go to KFC to get some chicken nuggets and to the bakery to get his princess a small birthday cake, just so she could celebrate it with her friends.
That night, Sherilyn finally got to cut her big big Disney Princess birthday cake.
The picture of this Disney Princess is from Sher’s sticker book. She told daddy last week that she wanted this picture to be on the birthday cake…. and so Disney Princess cake it was that she got. Daddy went to Secret Recipe and passed the sticker book to the bakery (for them to have the picture printed onto the cake as icing) and we chose a white chocolate macademia nut cake. Notice the word ‘Princess’ before Sherilyn’s name?
It was really a huge cake (3kg). We ate half the cake last night and this morning, we brought half the cake to school so that Sherilyn could share it with her friends…. and to proof that she really got a big big birthday cake…. Princess one some more 😀

My princess wannabe turns 4 today. How time flies. I still remember very vividly her first cries in the OT. Her cries were REALLY deafening and fierce and it’s true, she’s a hard core cry baby up until today.
Daddy bought some KFC nuggets and a small chocolate cake for her to celebrate with her classmates in school. That’s always been my little social butterfly’s wish – to celebrate with all her friends and as she always says it “I love all my friends!”
Tonight we’ll be having dinner at a restaurant with some close relatives but the venue is not confirmed yet. Daddy has ordered a huge Disney Princess cake for his princess.

Sherilyn put on a sulky face when daddy disallowed her to follow him to get food from the buffet line. That’s because she had not yet finished her food and she was walking up and down too much and not touching her food at all. So daddy asked her to finish her food before she could follow him to get more food. What made her sulk was because Alycia could follow daddy but not her. Sherilyn would SURELY sulk and kick up a fuss WHENEVER her cheh cheh gets something and she can’t OR when her cheh cheh gets something more than her. She always wants the most or the biggest of just about anything, even if she doesn’t like that thing or food. She just wants to be the winner and the one that’s being favored more by daddy and mummy. Only daddy could stomach all these nonsensical tantrums. I would have just ignored her.
Despite all her daily tantrums and bouts of bawling sessions (it happens every single day!), she’s still very much adorable and lovable when she’s in a good mood. She can make just about anyone burst out laughing with her antics and the things that she says.

As Alycia grows, she has also matured in her thinking. She is always asking me many intelligent questions now. She can also think sensibly and can always give me good answers and can argue intelligently with me too. On Valentine’s Day, she asked me why people celebrate this occasion. I then told her that Valentine’s Day is a day to tell somebody that you love him/her. The day after Valentine’s Day, she asked me something that made me ponder over her question. She asked me why daddy did not give me a ring for Valentine’s Day! Good question! For a moment, I did not know how to answer her. She is right. Why didn’t the hubs give me a ring to show me that he still loves me? Hmmmm? Valentine’s Day is now over but it’s still not too late for him to get me a ring as my birthday falls next month 😀 Perhaps I should send out a hint to him to get me a diamond ring from Holsted Jewelers, one of the leading jewelers on the internet. I think a diamond ring from the hubs would be one of the best ways for him to tell me that he still loves me.

It was yet another eventful Valentine’s Day for us this year. It was really eventful and unforgettable for us last year as we spent our evening at the ER of the hospital with Sherilyn.
Alycia and Sherilyn refused to take their afternoon nap yesterday. By dinner time, they were both drained out and had exhausted their batteries. Alycia nevertheless finished her dinner without any fuss. She’s always been a good feeder and really nice to have her at the dining table. Sherilyn as usual spent over 2 hours at the dining table and when everyone else had finished their dinner, she was still sitting there, daydreaming with food stored in her mouth. It was almost 10pm then. After I had finished bathing Baby C, I stepped into the dining area and burst out laughing seeing Sherilyn’s head like a pendulum. It’s amazing that she could auto balance her head and her body from falling off the chair even in her sleep LOL! She had dozed off on the chair like this…..

I woke up with a throbbing head this morning. Apart from a sore throat and cough, I’ve also developed red and painful eyes with greenish discharge. I think my upper respiratory tract have been attacked by some virulent bugs. The hubs has just bought me some anti-bacterial eye drops for my red eyes. I feel really sick now and no mood to do anything but sleep all day but I am not so fortunate. I don’t even have to mood to shop for Wedding Gifts for my 2 girlfriends whose wedding will take place next week. I wished someone could help me look after my 3 gals while I have a good 2 hour nap now.

This morning I gave Alycia and Sherilyn each a blackcurrant flavored colostrum tab before they left for school. While Alycia popped the tab into her mouth, guess where Sherilyn the menace put the tab? Guess, guess guess…….
she put the colostrum tab between her first and second toes! Haiyoh…. why of all places, she slotted the tab between her toes?! Had I not reprimanded her, I think she would have done some acrobatic stunts and tried using her toes to pop the tab into her mouth and I’m quite certain she would have done that. Sherilyn ohhhhhh Sherilyn!!
