I had a pleasant surprise yesterday when Iย checked Alycia’s school bag to see if she had any homework.
She had gotten a star for her Ting Xie (spelling in Mandarin) for getting all right.
… and another star for her spelling for getting all right!ย Not bad for my baby who has just turned 5 years old.

Jesselyn… Alycia’s teacher will first give the students a page of 4-5 words to write. After 2-4 days, the students will be tested on the words (spelling, ejaan and Ting Xie). I will drill Alycia for 2-4 days by asking her to write the words out and also ask her to spell out verbally whenever I hv the time.
Wow she is smart.
Well done, Alycia! You made mummy so proud of you ๐
