We’re Back In KL

We reached KL at around 7ish pm yesterday.  It took us more than an hour to settle down.  There were just too many things to do before we could finally sit down and have dinner.  Once back at our condo, my maid and I had to boil some water to drink, unpack the things, reheat the food that we had bought from Ipoh, I helped wash the toilet and the bathroom as I couldn’t stand the stains on the toilet bowl and my maid and I spent a lot of unnecessary time finding things…..coz when we were back in Ipoh, my dear hubs re-arranged the entire kitchen! I knew he would do it coz each time we’re back in Ipoh, he would take the golden opportunity to re-arrange everything in the house… which really irritates me to the core!  Oh well, my mum says I should be thankful wor that my hubby is such a neat freak, bleh!   Anyway, I have been really busy since yesterday unpacking my things, changing the sheets and finding things that my hubs re-arranged (aaargh….!).

Luckily my mum is here to help me entertain my 2 older brats otherwise I would go insane. Hubby has sort of agreed to send Sherilyn to daycare.  He said it’s best to send both the older gals to daycare and not just Sher alone as Sher would feel like she’s being punished.    I haven’t made a decision yet and must make my decision when school reopens.

What The Gals Have Been Up To In Ipoh… Part II

This morning my mum brought Alycia and Sherilyn for a walk by the hills.  We live within meters away from some very scenic limestone hills, something which Ipoh is well-known for.  The gals miss meeting up with their old friends.  Guess who their old friends are?

An old and huge mother goose who always chase us and scare us outa our wits (yet the gals long to see the goose), a turkey, a peacock, some dogs and some monkeys living in the hills.   There used to be some horses there too but now they are no longer there.  The gals have been seeing these animals since they were babies and each time we’re back in Ipoh, they would long to see their friends.  Today Daddy will be coming to Ipoh to bring us back to KL tomorrow.  If the weather permits, we will bring the gals to Polo Ground this evening.  They gals love to have rides on the electronic cars there.   Polo Ground is a very beautiful place and many people go there for jogging.  There are also several playgrounds for kids at the Polo Ground.  Though this place is a flurry of activities during the day, it is damn spooky at night coz it’s next to a couple of Chinese cemetries!   And guess what?  It is also a lovers’ paradise and many ‘kereta rosak’ (rendeavouz in the car) there at night LOL!

Today granny will bring Alycia to Jaya Jusco to get her a bicycle as she has promised Alycia a bicycle for her 5th birthday.  The gals fun-filled days in Ipoh is coming to an end but fortunately granny is following us back to KL tomorrow.  She will stay there for a week, after which I will be all alone again handling my 2 rambunctious monkeys and a high-need, high maintenance baby 🙁

All 3 gals fighting to sit on the rocking chair. They seem to like this rocking chair and also my parents’ Gintell massage chair a lot.

Baby C sitting on granny’s rocking chair.

Sherilyn playing with her new Hoola hoop that granny bought for her from Giant.

Find out how Alycia is feeling today, after puking the whole of yesterday.

What Are Your Plans This Christmas?

Christmas is just days away and the environment at shopping malls here is just so chrismassy and uplifting. Most of the shopping malls that I went to were packed with people and last minute shoppers. Christmas is a festival that I love the most as it’s a time to celebrate Father Jesus’ birth, a time to shop, party, enjoy good food, a time to share and get together with friends and relatives. I also love the Christmas caroling in our church and the lovely Christmas songs played on the radio. I think Christmas is such a wonderful celebration. This Christmas, we will be having a party at hubby’s aunty’s house. All his relatives will get together at her house. There will be lots of food on the table and gifts under the Christmas tree for everyone. My gals are really looking forward to find their gifts under the Christmas tree.

What are your plans this Christmas? If you haven’t planned any activity just yet, you may want to spend your Christmas in New York City as there will be a flurry of activities taking place in this city that never sleeps. Holiday events in New York City are so well-known that they have become national traditions. Some of the Christmas events are the lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, Christmas on Broadway, Herald Square for Macy’s, ice skating in Central Park, amongst others. If you are in New York City with a group, don’t forget to hire a New York Bus Charter to bring you around. I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Price To Pay For Not Listening To Mummy

Alycia has been gorging on quite a bit of junk food during the school holidays.  Since her birthday about 1.5 weeks ago, she’s been eating cakes, chocolates, crackers, chips, lollipops and other junk food non stop.  She would throw tantrums when her requests to eat junk food were not met.  Her appetite for junk food is pretty insatiable.  After lunch and dinner each day, she would rummage through the kitchen cabinet and fridge to look for biscuits, chocolates, chips, jellies and much more.  Her tummy is often so filled with junk food that she would have no more room for milk and other healthy food.  Being a health freak, I am against such unhealthy eating habits but she always has people around her who would pamper her with junk food.  Today, she finally puked.  She woke up in the morning and as usual, did not finish her milk.  She was very moody and just lay on the couch.  About half an hour later, she puked.  After that, she did not eat anything but drank some plain water.  During lunch, she had no appetite to eat.  At around 3pm, I gave her about 5 ounces of milk.  After the milk, she puked again.  I think she is having an indigestion as she ate a very heavy dinner yesterday.  After dinner, she polished off a cup of jelly.  If she continues to puke tomorrow, she’ll have to see the doctor.

Benefits Of Video Conferencing

Hubby has been sending copies of Baby C’s medical records, MCUG film and doctor’s letter to his uncle who is a surgeon in London. His uncle is seeking the opinion of his friend who is a pediatric nephrologist in London on Baby C’s kidney reflux. We have spent almost 3 months trying to get all the documents in place and we are still waiting for our pediatric nephrologist here to write us the letter on Baby C’s condition. It would be great if there was a Telemedicine facility in our hospital here. This way, our doctor here will be able to connect with the doctor in London to discuss the best treatment plan for Baby C.

LifeSize provides high definition solutions like videoconferencing, Telemedicine, online video conferencing, audio communications and much more to make people’s lives easier and more convenient. In Baby C’s case, our doctor would be able to communicate with the doctor in London and view her scans and MCUG film simultaneously via data sharing in order to come up with the most viable treatment plan for her.   A decision can also be made promptly without having to wait for months.

With the availability of high definition video communications products, many people’s lives are made easier. The benefits of video conferencing are also manifold. Traveling expenses can be reduced, carbon footprint can be reduced by not having to buy airfare to conduct international meetings and these products are environmentally friendly too. If you are looking for high definition video conferencing products, LifeSize is the ultimate place to go to.

Kit Kat Crazed Girls

Yesterday koong koong promised Alycia and Sherilyn that he will buy them some more Kit Kat after the gals badgered him for more when they finished the Kit Kat that koong koong bought for them last week.   At Giant, Alycia chosed a big box with 3 packs of Kit Kat Bites (and comes with a free bowl) and Sherilyn chosed a pack of 6 mini Kit Kat bars.   Back home, they have been eating Kit Kat non-stop.  I just hope they won’t fall sick when they return to KL.

A very happy and contented Sherilyn with her Kit Kat and new hoola hoop that granny bought – a big one for Alycia and a medium size one for Sherilyn.

Meanwhile, Baby C gave me a scare when I thought she had bacteria in her pee again.  Check out my health blog to read on.

Monkeying Baby C Again

It’s Alycia monkeying Baby C again. This morning she insisted that Baby C wore her new sunglasses that daddy bought for her. Alycia loves putting hats, caps and other ridiculous toys on Baby C just so she can have a good laugh at her baby sister.

Alycia is having a swell time here in Ipoh.  She knows koong koong will surely say yes to all her requests and she’s been badgering him for Kit Kat all the time.  Alycia and Sherilyn have just finished 2 bars of Kit Kat (that koong koong bought for them last week) and over lunch today, Alycia asked koong koong to buy her another bar of Kit Kat and koong koong gladly obliged and later we’re off to Jaya Jusco to buy her Kit Kat.  Haiz…. my gals are really spoilt rotten by their daddy and koong koong.  And mummy is always the bad guy :S

Check out what happened at Giant today at my other blog.

Christmas Shopping

Alycia and Sherilyn were delighted when they arrived home last night to find presents for them under the Christmas tree. Koo Mah (hubby’s sister) had sent them presents all the way from Hong Kong. Pressies aside, there was also a huge Panettone Loison bread cake made in Italy in a lovely tin box that koo mah sent. How very thoughtful this koo mah is. We have to shop for Christmas gifts too this weekend. I hope there will not be a crazy crowd at the shopping malls coz I really hate crowds and queuing up to pay. I think it’s quite a good idea to shop for gifts online to avoid the last minute crowd and to save time. If you haven’t completed your Christmas shopping yet, you may want to check out some very nice and affordable designer costume jewelry at holstedjewelers.com. They make excellent Christmas gifts!

Baby C Can Stand And Wants To Walk At 8 Months

Just want to put this on record before I forget again.  Today, Baby C stood unaided and without holding on to anything for a few seconds.  She’s been cruising from one place to another and today, she wanted to let go of her hands to walk!  Granny, mummy and 2 cheh chehs were cheering and laughing away coz she looked soooooo funny.

In these pix, Baby C stood for about 2 minutes on the floor.  We were all laughing, clapping our hands and cheering away.  Moments later, she looked confused as if wanting to tell us “O_o…. what’s next mummy, what’s next?  What am I going to do?  I can’t walk and I want to sit down… help me pleeeeeease…..”   We were all laughing at her blur and confused expression.  I think Baby C will be able to walk at 9 months, just like Sherilyn cheh cheh.

Look mummy, I can stand… and can almost walk too….

.
..but but but what’s next, I am stuck… help pleeeeeease!

Waaaaaaaaa………..aaaaa aaaaa aaaaaa………

3 Happy Little Girls

Baby C is happiest when she is placed on the floor playing with her 2 cheh chehs. These days, she could hardly stay still in her playpen for more than 15 minutes, unless she’s given something new or something ‘exciting’ to play with.  Her toys no longer excite her and these days, I let her play with my Tupperware containers, combs or other things that we adults use.

Baby C is playing with her 2 cheh chehs here at my parents’ home in Ipoh.   It’s really nice to see the 3 of them playing happily but I have to watch over Baby C like a hawk, else she would be stuffing everything into her mouth.  Yesterday, whilst she was crawling on the floor, she accidentally hit her chin on the cold hard floor and cried.  After the accident that happened about 2 months ago where she pulled herself up by holding on to the couch and  then let go of her hands and hit the back of her head, I have a phobia of putting her on the floor.  I’m going to be very busy watching over her from now until she’s at least 2 years old.   Haiz….. I just can’t wait for my 3 gals to grow up.

I Need A Vacation Right Now

The other day, my mum asked me if I am interested to join her and my dad in a cruise. She said that it would be really enjoyable if I brought my 3 girls along with them on board a cruise. I wouldn’t mind but I am a tad worried that my girls would get sea sick. I think a cancun all inclusive vacation at a luxurious beach resort would be better. I would prefer to stay in a stress-free beach resort overlooking the Mexican Caribbean and get myself pampered. Perhaps I should demand for a vacation from my hubby. Right now, I am overly stressed and knackered out minding my 3 kids and I really should deserve a good Christmas gift from hubby. A luxurious vacation or some silver bullion would put a smile back on my face.

What The Gals Have Been Up To

Over the weekends, my brother and sil from Singapore came to visit us. We were out the whole day. We went shopping at Mid Valley, had dim sum at Spring Valley Garden and later in the evening, we had dinner at Seoul Korea Restaurant, my favorite Korean Restaurant. Alycia and Sherilyn did not take their nap.

When we reached the Korean restaurant, Sherilyn was so sleepy that she fell asleep the moment she sat on the chair. Everyone had such a good laugh to see her asleep and snoring away with her mouth wide opened… and even in her deep sleep, she could auto-balance her head just as it moved and drooped to the side, so that she would not fall off the chair.

Sherilyn auto-balancing her head like a pendulum… which made everyone LOL.

Alycia and Sherilyn couldn’t contain their excitement and curiosity and ripped open their X’mas pressies from Raymond kau foo and Marene kam moh. Now they have no more X’mas pressies under the X’mas tree…. but today mah mah called all the way from Hong Kong to inform us that koo mah had just sent a parcel containing their X’mas pressies from Hong Kong.  How lucky they are eh, always receiving pressies from all their aunts and uncles.

Going Back To Ipoh

I have finally decided to take a private taxi back to Ipoh tomorrow.  Hubby who has been very busy with work lately has agreed to take a day’s off to drive us all back but I didn’t want him to speed all the way to Ipoh and speed all the way back to KL.  It would be too dangerous for him.  So I am asking him to spend RM180 on a taxi and I only trust this particular taxi driver as he has been driving my mum to and fro Ipoh for the past 5 years.  I had taken a ride on his taxi once and I trust his driving skills. He also doesn’t drive the old fashion bulky Mercedez taxi that emits nauseating fume.  He drives either Perdana or continental cars and I don’t mind paying a wee bit more for the comfort.

I can’t wait to indulge in all my favorite Ipoh food.  I really miss home as I have not gone back for almost 1.5 years.

Alycia’s Birth Photos

In commemoration of Alycia’s 5th birthday on 5th December, I am posting some of her birth pix here :

When the anesthesiologist passed her to me whilst I was still on the OT table, Alycia winked at me. My heart melted. I could remember very vividly that Alycia’s face was as white as snow, her lips were very red and her hair had tinges of blond color. She was very chubby.  She was one of the most beautiful babies I had ever seen.

My anesthesiologist, who is also our friend, passing Alycia to me.

Giving birth to Alycia was the happiest day of my life.  It was a dream come true for me as I had thought I would never be able to carry a baby of my own in my own arms.

Thank you God for Alycia, my precious baby!

Spring Cleaning My Closet

When Baby C was asleep during her afternoon nap yesterday, I did some spring cleaning of my closet. I have not gone back to my parents’ home for almost 1.5 years and my closet is pretty messy. I found some old baby clothes wrapped inside plastic bags, all chucked and squeezed inside my closet. They once belonged to Alycia and Sherilyn. I am glad I found them because Baby C can wear them now. I also found some unused diapers but I dared not let Baby C use them as the diapers are more than 3 years old. I am not sure if it’s going to cause a baby any harm for using expired diapers. Moreover, Baby C is so prone to getting UTIs and her diaper area has to be kept sterile all the time.

I also found my old love letters which hubby (then boyfriend) wrote to me. There were also some old greeting cards that hubby handmade and drew them for me more than 2 decades ago, when I was just 14 years old! Also found a bag of items that looked like some NFL Merchandise which belonged to hubby. No wonder hubby kept telling me that he could not find some of his clothes and toiletries. He must have left them behind at my parents’ some time ago. I also fished out some of the sexy XS size tops that I wore during my pre Baby C days. They still look very new but too bad I can’t squeeze into them anymore and I don’t think I will ever be able to squeeze into them again.

I Want A New Laptop

It took me 45 minutes to upload 4 pictures from my brother’s laptop into my blog today. This would normally only take 5-10 minutes from my own PC. My brother’s old laptop is driving me crazy. He seriously needs to upgrade the memory of his laptop or get a data integration software. If he doesn’t plan to do that, I am thinking of getting myself a new laptop. If I plan to travel back to my hometown very often, it’s really a good idea to get myself a laptop instead of using my brother’s laptop that is so unreliable and terribly slow. I can barely get work done using his old junk lappie. I get really frustrated each time I use his laptop. My New Year resolution is to work hard and save enough to buy myself a new laptop!
