CL’S GONE AND I AM SO BUSY

My confinement lady’s finally gone back today.  While I can finally breathe a sigh of relief that she’s gone, I have been really busy, so busy with Baby C who is super cranky today that I hardly have time to do anything else.  She has been crying and whining the whole day and I’ve been nursing her and letting her suckle my teats like a pacifier the whole day. She also wants to be carried and talked to.

As I am typing this post with my right hand, my left hand is carrying Baby C and she is crying away.  I know exactly what she wants, ie. she wants to go to my air-conditioned room to escape the horrendous heat from downstairs and to suckle mummy’s teats to sleep. I have tried leaving her in the crib and let her cry it out but she just wont stop crying. I have been carrying Baby C so much and running around so much handling my 3 kids that my wound is hurting.

I tried giving Baby C the pacifier today but she spat it out. I am really  exhausted caring for 2 toddlers and 1 newborn baby and today is only the first day I have to care for 3 kids myself without the help of a CL.  I cant imagine how the subsequent days will be like. I can only pray that Baby C will be an easy baby and that Sherilyn will be more obedient and stop being demanding.

  1. well, you will get use to it. it is tough in the beginning but after a while, sub sub sui. =)

i had to carry my son almost all the time even when i need to answer nature’s call and also when cooking until he starts walking at 13 mths!

  2. Hope u’re able to get some help (fr mom or MIL) soon. Anyway I’m sure u’ll be able to handle it. This is just the 1st day. We r not normal creatures, we’re MOTHERS. hehehe
    Here’s a tag for u, if u can find the time. 😉

  3. *Hugs* Can’t offer you any advise because I haven’t been there myself but I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it soon enough. Just take lots of deep breaths, k? And don’t stretch yourself too thin. If any one of the 3 gets too demanding, just chill and let them wait. 🙂

  4. As a good mom, i knw u can manage with multitasking but since ur wound hurts, perhaps u can get help frm beloved mommy. Sure she will b more than happy to help. The best alternative go back and stay with mom in Ipoh. let her coach ur two elders and u bond with ur babyC until she puas with ur attention. I also told ur mom to call me if u r back in Ipoh and need to soothe ur aching muscles. Just call me..i will adjust my time to pop over though i only back aftr travelling daily and reach home at abt 8pm aftr locams.Take care. just ask for help and there will be more than happy souls out there for u.

  5. Wow…you are really a “hero” la! Can type and carry her at the same time. I did that before too…but it will cause shoulder aches. Take it easy la. Is Sherilyn in pre-school yet? Sometimes with the kids away in school, it helps to get our sanity back.

  6. Agree with Wen. The sling helps. I use to wear my baby in a sling everywhere while I was doing work in the house. Easier on my arms. Happy Mother’s Day to you!

  7. yes i noe how it feels esp when the confinement lady left, jesse was reli tough wen confinement lady left n we have super hard time n she just cry cry n cry dun noe wat wat reason n refuse to sleep at nite….ei btw where is ur maid? is she helping u to look after bb C?

  8. i wonder why you can’t hire a confinement lady again? Maybe that would do you good. The wound is not fully healed so there might be complications if you force yourself to work to hard. Caring for 3 kids is no joke. How about your maid? Is she not making life easier for you?

    *hugs*

  9. U will get used to it prettty soon…and as days pass, Baby C will be les demanding too…if u really can’t cope, suggest u relax a little with the elder 2. Let them entertain themselves while mommy tries to get used to this new situation.

  10. Take care Shireen, i know it’s hard the beginning, like other mommies said, sooner it will become “wet wet water”, easy peasy for you.
