The girls have finally recovered from their illness, though not 100% as there is still phlegm in their throats. Their appetite is finally making a come back.
For the past 2.5 days, Alycia has been talking non-stop about food…. telling me what she would like to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner…. non-stop. Two nights ago, she told me that she wanted to eat spaghetti and she kept pestering me to cook her spaghetti the following day and so I promised her that I will cook her spaghetti with minced pork meat and tomatoes for dinner today.
Sherilyn’s appetite has also come back. She has started to open the fridge door by herself again – to bring out the fresh milk to drink and cheese to eat. She drank quite a bit of fresh milk yesterday and today. When she saw me eating corn flakes with fresh milk for lunch yesterday, she too requested to eat them, though she already had a big bowl of Udon with stir-fried fish paste that I had cooked for her. Last night I cooked them fried rice for dinner. The gals ate so much to the extent that I had to stop them from eating for fear of them puking. When I was busy and wasn’t looking, Sherilyn quietly climbed up the dining table and stole a few spoonfuls of fried rice to eat – thrice when I wasn’t looking! I was really terrified that she would puke again at midnight from overeating, so I reduced her milk intake at night.
Well, I am really glad that my girls are feeling hungry and starting to demand for food to eat again. I am praying that their immune system will be stronger and will not fall sick so easily. It’s really physically stressful on me and financially strenuous on hubby each time they fall sick.
