Since my 2 sick kittens do not have appetite to eat much, I decided to make them something different and appealing for lunch today. I copied this from one of the Singaporean mummies’ blog. It doesn’t take too much time and it’s really simple to prepare. All you need to do is to buy a loaf of fresh bread, fry 2 beaten up eggs, have some seaweeds, jam and cheese ready. Rolling up and cutting up of the sushi sandwich only takes 10 minutes.
The top and bottom ones are egg and seaweed ‘sushi’. It would taste better with some butter but since Alycia has a tummy discomfort and kept puking yesterday, I omitted the butter.
The ones in the middle are strawberry jam and cheese ‘sushi’.
Since I did this hurriedly (was rushing to grab an offer from this advertiser at 1pm), I did not do a good job rolling up the sushi and pressing the bread tightly.
Alycia and Sherilyn loved the sushi sandwiches to bits and gave their “ooohs and aahhs” and a big thumbs up!
Next time, I will try tuna sandwich sushi and chicken floss sandwich sushi.
As I was making this sushi sandwich, I was salivating away thinking of the gastronomical Japanese cuisine that we had last week.
