FollowWe wanted to eat something light and soupy last Sunday, so we had Ipoh ‘ngar choi kai’ at Jalan Gasing PJ last Sunday after church. I can’t remember the name of the restaurant but it’s one of the oldest Ipoh ‘ngar choi kai’ restaurants in KL (over 30 years) and they have recently refurbished the restaurant. There are even misty fans outside the restaurant.
We ordered :
Chicken, pork balls and 2 plates of crunchy bean sprouts. Hubby and I love bean sprouts and we can even chomp down 1 big plate each ourselves.
Roast pork – not fantastic though as the top layer of the skin wasn’t crunchy enough.
Ipoh hor fun soup – very tasty and the texture of the hor fun was also very smooth.

ooooo…i know which restaurant that is. Tried it before and really good. This place is still very packed? Now you made me wanna go back to ipoh and have the real thing
i like the place too, but prefer to sit outside the non air cond one cause the whole place smells chicken haha
ngar choi kai.. one of my favourite too..this restaurant has nice food.
