A Beautiful Sunday With A Pleasant Surprise

Today, we had buffet lunch at Lemon Garden Coffee House, Shangri-La Hotel. Guess who I chanced upon there? I was seated at the table at the coffee house terrace when I saw a cute little girl walking in. I thought she looked very familiar. I then turned around and saw this little girl’s elder sister. They’re Erica and Ellisa, the 2 lovely angels from Scribbles For My Angels. I then waited for E&E’s mummy to walk in before I said hi to her. What a small world this is.

Alycia holding a cray-fish.

Sherilyn ate nothing but bread sticks from the wide spread of delicious buffet food.

And health freak mommy wasn’t that health conscious today. I gorged on the sinfully mouth-watering desserts and my favourite was the passion fruit, banana yoghurt and strawberry ice-cream with lots of chopped peanuts, kidney beans and white chocolate from the white chocolate fountain.

Whilst Alycia has outgrown her fear of clowns, Sherilyn still has phobia of them and she was clinging on tightly to me for dear life like a koala bear as her body was trembling with fear.

I had wanted to snap a pic of both Erica and Ellisa with Alycia and Sherilyn but Ellisa was asleep and Erica shied away from the camera.
When we were at the colored sand arts and crafts corner outside the coffee house, I saw Erica there and took a picture of her with Alycia and Sherilyn. The girl in pink long sleeved blouse with long flowing hair is Erica

Wait ar….

I’ve been receiving quite a number of paid offers to write for the last one week and I’ve been sitting in front of my over-worked computer almost the whole day. My poor eyes are getting blurry coz I am too lazy to wear my glasses. I don’t even know where my glasses are! I’ve been so wrapped up in paid posts that I’ve not really gone blog hopping for 1 week or more. So my dear blogger friends, if I’ve not visited your blog yet, please forgive me ar, wait ar, i’ll definitely drop by. Not tonight coz I am going out for dinner, not tomorrow coz tomorrow is church day and outing day. Maybe on Monday next week. Have a nice weekend everyone!

I Want To Bathe With Mummy!!

Alycia and I have been taking our baths together for the last 3 days and she is enjoying every moment of it. That’s the only time she gets to spend time alone with mummy without her lil’ sister and she gets my FULL attention and TLC.

Today, I had taken my bath early in the morning when I returned from my morning jog as I was really sweaty and sticky. When it was time to bathe Alycia later mid morning, Alycia demanded to bathe with me, not me bathing her but she wants the both of us having our baths together. She kept screaming “mummy i want to bathe with you, you take off your clothes, take off your pants, next time you don’t bathe first, you bathe together with me.” She was really upset that she didn’t get to spend her time alone with mummy and was wailing, rolling and kicking on the floor for more than half an hour. Aiyoh…. i tell you, i was angry yet felt bad, a mixture of feelings. I’ve really gotten myself into trouble now as I know she will for the next few days demand to have her baths together with me.

It’s The Durian Season Now

Woohoo…. the durian season is back again. I love the durian season and I love durian terribly. Each time i pass by a roadside durian stall, i’ll ask DH to get me some durians. Yesterday, DH bought me 1 BIG plastic bag of durians (6 styrofoam boxes)… and that only cost him RM50. This includes 2 whole durians that he and his cousin ate at the stall and 1 styrofoam box that he gave to his friend…. all these for RM50, not bad. I ate so much durian that I felt so bloated and couldn’t even eat my dinner. I even gave 1 box to my maid to enjoy. I still have 1 big container full of durian in the fridge. That will probably last me for another 2 days. I am satisfied….burp…. stinky 🙂

Exercising Is My Life-Saver

I admit I am not only a health freak but also a fitness freak. I love exercising. Those who love exercising will totally agree with me that words cannot describe how beneficial exercise is to your body, mind and soul. You have to try it to experience the benefits yourself.

Lately, I’ve been writing quite a handful of paid posts. Writing these reviews ain’t easy. Sometimes I’ll have to really crack my rusty brains on what to write. However, when I go for my daily 40 mins of morning jog each day, the ideas just keep pouring out from my head. It must be the work of the feel good hormones released during exercise. When I return from my jogging session, I feel really refreshed, happy and full of ideas with what to write.

Not only does exercising help with the overall well-being of my body, mind and soul, it keeps my weight in check. I can still eat almost everything that I fancy. Yesterday, I had gorged on 1.5 Beard Papa’s cream puff, 1/2 slice of cheese cake from Bread Talk, a big plate of home-cooked fried noodles, some pumpkin seeds candies, a handful of Twisties (haha, my weakness for this junkfood) and of course don’t know how many seeds of durian. This morning, I weighed myself on the scale and thankfully, it’s still at 43kg!

Ok, I better get down from the soapbox. To everyone out there who has not started on a exercise regime yet, I hope you get motivated and inspired by what I’ve written.

New Toy Tunnel

This is the new toy that Daddy bought Alycia and Sherilyn yesterday from Toys R Us. Another bulky toy, a tunnel for them to crawl. This is quite a ‘healthy’ toy because crawling is known to be very beneficial for the development of the brain. In fact, crawling and creeping are highly recommended by Glenn Doman for kids with brain injuries.

Now, my house really looks like a playschool. There’s a school-bus tent, a school tent and now a tunnel. Anyone wants to bring your kids to my house to play? You are all welcome 🙂

Caught In Action

We were at Bread Talk at Mid Valley the other day and Sherilyn who is a bread lover went gila over all the bread and pastries on display. She went hopping round the shop and touched some of the buns, that looked sooooo appetizing. She especially got attracted to the buns with chocolate eyes and mouth decorated on top.

Despite mummy’s warning, Sherilyn couldn’t resist the temptation and continued touching and even put her finger into her mouth to lick after touching the bread. I quickly pulled her out from the shop before anyone saw us.

A Surprise Call From Shern’s Mom

I had a surprise call on my mobile phone an hour ago. Guess who called me? It was Leena aka Shern’s Mom. She was at the Mattel warehouse sale at USJ and she called me to ask if I wanted her to help me get some cheap Barbie dolls. She said the Barbie dolls were going for RM10 each. I told her my gals have enough toys, in fact they have too many toys. Just yesterday, DH bought them another 2 new toys.

Anyway I’d like to say a big thank you to Leena for her kind thoughts. It was truly a surprise call for me. I’ve definitely made many good friends through blogging.

Leena definitely deserves the ‘award’ from HipnCoolmomma.

Expert In Swallowing Medicine

Sherilyn is now an expert in swallowing her medicine. She used to puke at the sight of medicine whenever she was ill but now, she drinks them like drinking water…. easy peasy, no hassle, no fussing, no crying, no puking (but sometimes she still does puke) BUT there must be at least a slice of cake or some biscuits for her as reward after she has swallowed her medicine.

Notice the plastic bag hanging on the chair? That’s for collecting vomit just in case either of the gals puke. I always have a plastic bag hanging on a chair during meal times.

First, I drink my medicine from the tiny medicine cup.

Then, I put the cup down……

and lastly, I sink my tiny teeth into this soft plain chiffon cake. Hhhmmm…… so nice to fall sick, daddy will surely buy me lots of cakes to eat, hehehe……

Home-made Pizza Bread

I made pizza bread for lunch a couple of days ago. It’s easy peasy. I used organic bread as the crust. As for the topping, I used minced chicken meat cooked in blended tomatoes and big onions, which was the leftover food from the previous night’s dinner. A minute before I switched off the toaster, I put a slice of Kraft cheese on top.

The outcome? Delicious. Both the gals loved them. Even Miss Spitty Spat Sherilyn finished her slice without spitting.

The pizza toasting in the oven.

This one is for Alycia.

And this one with extra cheese is for moi.

Plastic Mats

I have 8 of these plastic mats at home. I put 3 under the gals’ bed, 2 under my bed and 2 for the mattress downstairs. I find them really useful for preventing pee, vomit and water from seeping into the mattress. It’s better and more practical to place the mats on top of the bedsheet but that would be very hot and uncomfortable for anyone sleeping on it.

Everything Goes Into Her Mouth

DH got these 2 toy cars free when he purchased V-power oil. The gals love them so much as the cars have springs and with a pull backward, the car can zoom forward. A few nights ago, Sherilyn gave me a scare when she ran to me, opened her mouth and said “see mummy”. She had yanked off the rubber covering the wheels and put it into her mouth to chew like chewing gum. I almost flipped and quickly pulled out the rubber from her mouth, wiped her mouth with a wet hanky and gave her a piece of my mind. Now, the 2 bright red cars are on my top shelf, decorating my bedroom.

So to all parents out there, be careful of what you give your toddlers. Make sure the toy has no small detachable parts. Another good lesson learnt for DH and me.

A Real Hectic Day

Today is a real busy busy day for me. This morning, I received another 6 offers on the same product from this advertiser but I only accepted 2. You know, this advertiser must have loved me so much that it has given me over 20 offers on the same product and I’ve written on this product for over 20 times. I feel like a new chef who has to whip up 20 over new styles to cook a dish of duck and mind you, the duck dish has to be really tasty and different in taste from one another. Anyway, I must pat my own back coz I managed to pull through and I must say I work better under pressure, I’ve always worked better under pressure.

We spent the whole afternoon at Mid Valley shopping and eating. DH’s visiting cousin from Taiwan wanted to eat ‘lai mien’ or pulled noodles so we went to Dragon I Restaurant again. Then, whilst I went to Jaya Jusco and Carrefoure shopping, DH AGAIN secretly brought the gals to Toys R Us and bought 2 new toys. After shopping, we went to Picollo Mondo for spaghetti, pasta and pizzza. Before we left Mid Valley, DH bought boss wifey her favorite Beard Papa’s cream puff.

When I came home, I received another 2 offers from 2 other advertisers. So here I am, rushing like mad.

Ok, gotta go. This post is a good enough and long enough for a filler post.

Sweet Chestnuts

DH bought these peeled roasted chestnuts imported from China in packet form from Purple Cane Tea House last week. Alycia and Sherilyn loved them to bits, especially Alycia who insisted to eat them directly from the packet. Yesterday morning, when I poured out some chestnuts into the bowl for Alycia for breakfast, she waaaaaailed and insisted that she wants to eat them from the packet and she finished the whole packet all by herself and then asked for another packet. I am quite sceptical of food and products imported from China as I’ve read of them being tainted with pesticides, poision and what not. Anything that looks dodgy to me, I won’t want to put too much into my body. So when the gals were asleep, I hid the packet of chestnut, haha….

Heartache

A few days ago, as I was busy cleaning the gal’s cupboard where they keep their toys, I accidentally knocked down my Lamp Berger infuser and the expensive oil went dripping down from the table onto my thigh. I was squatting down and suddently felt something really cold, like alcohol hitting my thigh and I also heard splats of liquid dropping. When I looked up, I was horrified to see my Lamp Berger infuser on its side and the table, floor and my shorts were soaked with the expensive LB oil. More than half the bottle of oil had spilt out and I think that cost me over a hundered bucks. Hiyah…. what to do, it was my carelessness and there’s really no point crying over spilt oil……
