Yup, no joke. Sherilyn takes 2 hours or more to finish her lunch and dinner. She has the habit of storing the food in her mouth before deciding whether to swallow them or spit them out or at times she’d decide to be a ruminant, like a cow.
Thank God my maid has the patience to sit patiently and wait for Sherilyn to finish her meals coz I definitely have no patience sitting at the dining table for 2 hours trying to coax or bribe her to swallow her food. I’d rather be clearing the table and washing the dishes.
A few days ago, Sherilyn had spent close to 1.5 hours to finish off her cereal and Mac n Cheese during lunch. Later she saw me eating toasted bread and begged for a slice. I then gave her a slice of toast with organic strawberry jam (her favourite) and she decided she wanted to toss and flip the toast as if she was making roti canai and then…….
…..as she flipped the toast, it flew right down to the floor. Aarrgghhh….great….. no more toast for her. I was actually relieved that the bread had dropped, otherwise I’d have have to wait for another one hour for her to finish off the toast.

Hey…Ashley is also like that. That’s why she doesn’t like rice. Gotta chew and chew. I really don’t have the patience when it comes to feeding her. She also likes to spit everything out if she doesn’t like the food *faint*
haha..sounds like someone here in the house. marcus, shern’s cousin is exactly the same. why arrr?
Mummy to chumsy & Leena… most kids r like this, i wonder why.Thankfully Alycia is the exact opposite & loves food.
wah….at least your Sherilyn is willing to sit there “kuai-kuai” for 2 hours ler. With me and hubby, Qiqi sits in her place for 15 mins give us face liao…
Chin Nee… i wish Sherilyn can guai guai sit at her place & eat but NO, she walks round the house and drops food everywhere. If we confine her to her seat, sometimes she’ll make a big fuss, cry and vomit again. Sigh…
Aiyo…mine also cry until vomit….how ah? that’s why I’m so terrified of having another baby 🙁 Ashley stopped drinking milk when she’s 8 mths old so now i spoonfeed her…die or not?
i think girls has the tendency of eating slow…
Hahaha!!! All these comments sound just like Tee. Aiyo…these girls are drama queens and they all know how to play games with us Mummies la….cheeky monkeys.
Mommy to Chumsy – I also know a few Moms who have to spoonfeed milk from bowl to their tots. I couldn’t BELIEVE it! I would never have the patience to do that!!! Better keep my mouth shut before Tee picks up on the vibes and learns the new trick. I would really faint…
really even with toast? she can’t finish it right away?
Big pumpkin… i certainly hv NO patience to spoon-feed Sherilyn her milk, thank God, she still loves her milk & drinks it without any fuss.
Hip momma… sherilyn has her mood. If she’s in a good mood, she can easily chomp her toast down in a matter of minutes but if she’s already half full or distracted, that will take her hours to finish 1 small slice of toast & she will squash it & play with it and drop the crumbs everywhere in the house!
Seems like our girls are the same 🙂
Grace also love to ‘store’ food in her mouth and the time she can keep in her mouth is so long just like hamster. Now I became not so ambitious and give her little instead 😐
